to use an analogy from cooking, it's like how the best dishes happen when each individual ingredient/component can stand upon its own as something you'd eat, but then when you put them all together, it's perfection

but linux is like when you try to force together too many components, and some of them don't really fit well with the others, kinda like how you see instagrammable hamburgers with eggs and avocado as toppings

power efficiency is cool in theory but i don't feel is that important, because of the efficiency paradox it essentially evens out and everybody uses the tech they have in more wasteful manners
