oflags=direct might be the way to go. Direct use direct I/O for data
<SiFuh>
dsync use synchronized I/O for data

remiliascarlet: After the Nathaniel, Alex interview. Rense was interviewing Nathaniel and Rense called Alex the guy whose neck is bigger than his head. Haha and it is true
<remiliascarlet>
SiFuh: A few days ago I saw a woman in the train so fat, her neck was the same width as her head. It's ridiculous!
<SiFuh>
Japanese?
<remiliascarlet>
Either Japanese or Korean, she was sleeping throughout the entire trip.
<SiFuh>
I use to sleep so I didn't have to hear or see the gross people on the train when I lived in China
<SiFuh>
remiliascarlet: I saw that in the news two days ago
<SiFuh>
I didn't know Tetris could be won. I thought it just want on for infinity
<SiFuh>
Like Space Invaders on the Atari 64. Once you got to the final battle, it would just return back to the first game again.
<SiFuh>
Good movie that Tetris by the way.
<remiliascarlet>
The way you beat those games I guess is by making the score go so high that the CPU becomes unable to handle it and crash.
<SiFuh>
Y2K
<SiFuh>
Hahaha that comedian talking about Y2k. And what happened? Nothing! What am I going to do with a garage full of Baked Bean tins now?
<remiliascarlet>
Just wait for Y2038 next.
<SiFuh>
Aren't most computers 64 bit these days and higher?
<remiliascarlet>
I mean the UNIX timestamp is going to reach 9999999999 seconds.
<SiFuh>
OpenBSD since version 5.5, released in May 2014, also uses a 64-bit time_t for both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures.
<remiliascarlet>
So the problem already got fixed?
<SiFuh>
6 years before linux
<SiFuh>
Linux originally used a 64-bit time_t for 64-bit architectures only; the pure 32-bit ABI was not changed due to backward compatibility.[19] Starting with version 5.6 of 2020, 64-bit time_t is supported on 32-bit architectures, too. This was done primarily for the sake of embedded Linux systems.

The cat
<SiFuh>
Just back from KL, and just finished packing the 4WD.
<SiFuh>
Already people complaining about rain. I hope they don't cancel
<remiliascarlet>
SiFuh: Water.
<SiFuh>
I don't like your cat. Drinking water will cause your cat to rust and I don't like rust.
<SiFuh>
Do you oil your cat regularly?
lavaball has quit [Quit: lavaball]
<SiFuh>
There is a nice way to stop rust. Coat in a thin layer of oil and then bake in the oven at maximum celsius for 1 hour. It will turn black and create a beautiful polymer coating.
<SiFuh>
It's also cheaper because you won't need to feed your cat anymore.
