<SiFuh_> remiliascarlet: Malaysia bans smoking at campsites. WTF?
<remiliascarlet> ukky: I have an AMD Radeon, and FreeBSD runs like total ass on it. So I disagree. Also, Linux distro's drop and add hardware support too.
<remiliascarlet> In my experience, FreeBSD has by far the worst hardware support out of the big 3.
<remiliascarlet> Only Dragonfly BSD is worse, but that one is seemingly dead.
<SiFuh_> Everyone should just move to 9front and plan9
<remiliascarlet> Maybe after they fix their libc.
<SiFuh_> I really hate the modern tentpoles
<uwumeowmeownyaa> I want to move to Plan9, but I dislike the absence of GNU Emacs or a reasonable text editor for this operating system.
<SiFuh_> What's wrong with ACME or SAM?
<SiFuh_> uwumeowmeownyaa: https://s3.amazonaws.com/i.snag.gy/4PtNbd.jpg Both ACME and SAM on OpenBSD
<uwumeowmeownyaa> I dislike how heavily ACME (and probably SAM) depends on mouse input. I prefer using a keyboard to utilize a computer.
<SiFuh_> uwumeowmeownyaa: I prefer shouting at it. But the software just ignores me.
<ukky> remiliascarlet: You are an expert when it comes to *BSD, I cannot argue with you. And yes, Linux distros drop HW support too, DAHDI is an example, but that is Sangoma's fault.
<SiFuh_> ukky: Is this series Dark Matter (2024) suppose to be so easily predictable?
<SiFuh_> I figured it out at the calendar scene in the storage facility that there are two of him. My wife figured it out when he was being kidnapped and was asked the passcode for the phone. Then says "Is it your father's birthday in reverse?" and my wife says "It's him!"
<ukky> SiFuh_: Well, yes.
<ukky> It is hard to create a plot nowdays that will blow your mind
<SiFuh_> It reminds me a little of the TV series Fringe (2008) in some way.
<SiFuh_> ukky: Yeah that's why Star Trek: Deep Space 9 was operating on the stolen scripts from Babylon 5
<ukky> SiFuh_: Did you watch Severance S01 2022?
<SiFuh_> ukky: Yep, hated it
<ukky> It was okay for me.
<SiFuh_> ukky: How about? Tales from the Loop (2020)
<SiFuh_> Or? The Terror (2018
<ukky> I didn't watch those two
