<steev> `as a single-disk filesystem, btrfs has been stable and for the most part performant for years`
<IgorPec> i hbave little experiences with it, can't tell

<Armbian-Discord> <kprasadvnsi> does anybody know what is the baud rate for rk3399 at early boot?
<Armbian-Discord> <kprasadvnsi> I am using 1500000 but getting garbage values
<Armbian-Discord> <kprasadvnsi> Nvm. It was a faulty serial adaptor

<lanefu> I use btrfs on all my armbian roots
<lanefu> Copy on right and trim support
<lanefu> Better for sdcards out of the box
<lanefu> And works really really well with docker
<lanefu> Subvolumes are cool and snapshots are great for managing backups
<nekomancer[m]> lanefu: what tool you use for backups?
<c0rnelius> I always found btrfs to be slower in the read/write department.
<lanefu> Borg backup and borgmartic
<lanefu> Never had btrfs performance cause any real world impact for my used
<lanefu> Uses
<lanefu> If I was running a serious DB I'd use xfs
<lanefu> And yeah using qcow2 images I turn of cow on the. Btrfs file or folder
<Armbian-Discord> <Tonymac32> Lanefu dd's everything
<lanefu> Lol
<sunshavi> W_erner: thanx for the info. It is good to know. Yes. less activity lately.
<Armbian-Discord> <Tonymac32> We need an intern to make a UML model of the build system 😄
<fizikz> lanefu: +1 for borg backup with borgmatic. that's what i use my odroid HC2 for. and when the armbian memory reversion can be fixed, the backups won't need to take 3X as long as usual :)

<lanefu> fizikz: you think the patch is broke or should we just disable the governor again
<fizikz> lanefu: no idea, the patch fix was good for quite some time. what changed in the last kernel?
<fizikz> and what do you mean "again", was the governor ever disabled?
<fizikz> btw, my current workaround is to revert to the older kernel 5.4.125-odroidxu4 whose performance is fine
<Armbian-Discord> <Xen> Anybody using PCDuino3? None of the Kernel 5.X Armbian images boot. The serial port shows that it hangs at "Starting Kernel".
