<steev>
richneese: i gotta say, the more i use armbian budgie, the more i like it. you did an amazing job
<Armbian-Discord>
<RichNeese> thanks
<Armbian-Discord>
<RichNeese> do add in lm-sensors xsensors
<steev>
i did, on the pinebookpro but it didn't seem to do anything here?
<Armbian-Discord>
<RichNeese> It will be added to all desktops from here on out
<Armbian-Discord>
<RichNeese> you have to click on the xsensors in the menu
<Armbian-Discord>
<RichNeese> it should pop up a small window
<steev>
oh, let me grab it
<Armbian-Discord>
<RichNeese> should be under system
<steev>
oh, i thought it was something that would be on the desktop itself
<Armbian-Discord>
<lanefu> steev hows budgie perform on pbp compared to some of the other armbian desktops
<steev>
lanefu: well, i've only run budgie and i gotta say, it's smooth as butter
<Armbian-Discord>
<lanefu> i'm running a bit of a frakensteined build from one of our early mates
<Armbian-Discord>
<RichNeese> you need to build a update ad reload
<Armbian-Discord>
<RichNeese> lol
<Armbian-Discord>
<lanefu> yeah i know.. i just dont wanna set shit up again
<Armbian-Discord>
<RichNeese> set it up on the sd card then install
<Armbian-Discord>
<lanefu> yeah that's a good idea
<Armbian-Discord>
<RichNeese> that way you have your work ready to move over
<Armbian-Discord>
<lanefu> i can just "pilot" from sdcard whenever eh
<Armbian-Discord>
<lanefu> yeah
<Armbian-Discord>
<RichNeese> thats what I do
<steev>
for an unsupported machine, i haven't found anything to look into being broken yet :(
<steev>
i'm sure there's probably something that i'm not using that is, but it'd be the kernel's fault
<Armbian-Discord>
<RichNeese> what unit
<Armbian-Discord>
<RichNeese> what board
<steev>
pinebook pro
<Armbian-Discord>
<RichNeese> ok
<steev>
oh actually, i guess the one thing is it doesn't seem to actually disable trackpad while typing, but meh
<Armbian-Discord>
<RichNeese> you can disable and plug a mouse
<steev>
oh it's not *that* big of a deal, just something i noticed when i went to type sudo and ended up typing udo on the desktop ;)
<steev>
i could see this being my spare that i carry for when the c630's battery finally dies
<Armbian-Discord>
<RichNeese> I use a bt mouse thats rechargeable
<Armbian-Discord>
<RichNeese> I am bookmaroking this for laptop build
<Armbian-Discord>
<RichNeese> this should do the job

<steev>
oh, that's the other thing but doubt it's on you, i couldn't find a way to disable natural scrolling
<steev>
oh, there it is in dconf-editor :) and that worked for me
<Armbian-Discord>
<RichNeese> ok
<steev>
sorry, i mean, disabling natural scrolling worked from inside dconf-editor, but disable while typing was already on, and didn't seem to do anything, i did try flipping it off and then back on
<Armbian-Discord>
<RichNeese> ok
<steev>
not the end of the world :) and like you said, can always disable and use a mouse
<Armbian-Discord>
<RichNeese> try the app I just posted
<Armbian-Discord>
<RichNeese> it should help
<steev>
how did you get the budgie menu to look like that? it doesn't seem to be that way by default, or is that an ubuntu change?
<Armbian-Discord>
<RichNeese> thats using the ubuntu default layout
<steev>
ah
<Armbian-Discord>
<RichNeese> you can a,sl change it with the arrow
<steev>
i noticed it on ubpi
<Armbian-Discord>
<RichNeese> I am glad you like it
<Armbian-Discord>
<RichNeese> this was my goal to give people options
<steev>
i'd probably throw the terminal as a shortcut into plank, but i might be one of the minority that spends far more time there than in any other window
<steev>
and i'm also able to just "[X] Keep in Dock"
<Armbian-Discord>
<RichNeese> you can plank is just what comes basic
<Armbian-Discord>
<RichNeese> you can add what ever you want to it
<Armbian-Discord>
<RichNeese> drag and drop
<Armbian-Discord>
<RichNeese> I will see what we can do in the next build

<kprasadvnsi>
I am facing a strange problem. Trying to use the mainline "goodix,gt9271" driver. In the DT I put 0x14 as i2c address and it failed to start. checked with i2c tools and the device show up at address 0x5d so I change the DT for 0x5d and it again failed to start. now check again and device show up at address 0x14.
<buZz>
kprasadvnsi: maybe you connected a address pin of the screen aswell?
<buZz>
and by enabling the driver it jumped to other address
<Armbian-Discord>
<Tonymac32> Some devices have a power on address that is then changed by the driver. Do you have any logs of it failing to start?
<Armbian-Discord>
<kprasadvnsi> Found the issue. It's was the bsp DT fucking up with me. In the bsp DT the reset pin is active high. But it really the schematic clearly say it should be active low. So it fixed by changing reset pin behaviour.
<Armbian-Discord>
<kprasadvnsi> Whoever changed the reset pin behaviour in the bsp driver should burn in hell.

<kprasadvnsi> HDMI audio works even on armbian. If you try to use headphone jack on Orange Pi 3, it will not work.
