<kprasadvnsi> @lanefu I saw in your video you have relay switch to kill power to boards. How do you automate the sd card writing process?

<lanefu> @kprasadvnsi I ssh into the board, shutdown all the services I can, then curl the image download and pipe it straight to dd then kill power

<jock>
hello!
<IgorPec>
hi jock
<jock>
hi Igor!
<IgorPec>
see you were productive those days. my question the other day was more related to the common functions like vpu support. someone reported we have lost it on rockchuip after my last quick update to 5.14.y
<jock>
Ah I understand

Well that's possible that something broke indeed

<IgorPec>
or i missed out some patch. haven't got time for that
<jock>
I can take a look if you think it is sensible
<jock>
To be honest, I have a branch on my local machine where I imported the LE 5.14 patches on rockchip family. I had to disable some existing armbian patches (mostly HDMI/DRM things), but nonetheless my rk3288 machine boots and works well
<jock>
with no HDMI issues and both hantro and rkvdec are working pretty well!
<jock>
I can share the branch if someone with a tinkerboard could do some tests
<IgorPec>
i think that would help, yes
<IgorPec>
not sure if we cover many other areas with patches then video stuff
<jock>
mmmh, just checked... I was wrong, I did that on kernel 5.10 not 5.14
<jock>
But no problem, can give a shot for video things on 5.14 too
<IgorPec>
great!
<jock>
May I ask you a couple of questions?
<IgorPec>
sure
<jock>
I see that sometimes in the patch/archive/ directory there still are patches for unused kernels (like rockchip-5.13, while edge is already rockchip-5.14...)
<jock>
is it a good practice to leave them there or are they leftovers that should be cleaned up sooner or later?
<IgorPec>
we decided to just leave them there for people that have some special interest of building those kernels
<Armbian-Discord>
<NeonFetch> upps, I got a BSOD on Armbian95 hahahha
<jock>
ook, looks like a good idea
<jock>
Second question: is there some FTP server/space I could use to put development images or other binaries? I mean, actually I'm using google drive to share extra images and other goodies with people, but in general I don't like the thing so much... (no command line, too much burden to share a link, ...)
