huh... It used to be that with the polling-only liteuart linux driver, I couldn't paste (the middle-click, X11 way) a lengthy command line into the terminal, because characters would get lost

with irq-driven RX processing, that now works, so my standard test suite after booting linux is just a middle-click to drop some copy-pasted test :)
