<rio6> I don't think there's a limitation on kiss itself for running systemd
<rio6> it's just not in the main repos and most people don't use it
<rio6> (or like it)

<acheam> It needs glibc, no?
<acheam> It deffo needs dbus
<acheam> Beware that swirfhing to sysstemd isnt as simple as just building and installing it, the wiki has a good article on switching inits

<akspecs> acheam: i take it that gentoo may be better suited for my use case then, no?

<ooids> sup guys, im doing a fresh install and when I tried to creat a grub.cfg it gave me this error "/usr/bin/grub-probe: error: cannot find a device for / (is /dev mounted?).", ive mounted everything using the chroot script and I did mount my EFI part in /boot.
<ooids> OH wait, I just noticed what I did, im sorry
<ooids> Ive mounted the partition after installing the kernel lol

<oosd> lol nope, tried making the kernel but it gave the same error
<oosd> and when I installed grub, it gave me this: "modprobe: can't change directory to '/lib/modules': No such file or directory"
<acheam> not that many people in this channel use grub, so help could be limited
<acheam> But it sounds like its trying to load some module, but is unable to find it
<oosd> oh! what bootloader do you guys use if at all?
<acheam> Did you make module_install the kernel and build the modules it wants?
<acheam> I like syslinux, lots of people use efistub
<oosd> acheam I forgot to build them lol
<acheam> Well there ya go
<oosd> but honestly im going to have a look at both before installing grub
<oosd> thank you.
<acheam> Syslinux requires python, Perl, and GCC to build, just a heads up
<oosd> Oh ok, will have to build python

<rio6> I use grub for mkconfig only on kiss, and use it in my alterady existing grub installation to tri boot

<kyxor> testuser[m]: chromium package no longer has libGLESv2.so in it's manifest, or the install script does not copy over libGLESv2.so into /lib/chromium which then chrome fails to start gpu process and backfalls onto software rendering
<kyxor> I personally don't mind, cause it seems to be more stable without gpu anyway
<kyxor> Cause you removed these lines "install -Dm644 out/Release/icudtl.dat "$1/usr/lib/chromium""
<kyxor> or maybe not
<kyxor> Still I wanna know what changed there that libGLESv2.so isn't there or chrome looks for different path, cause libGLESv2.so is under /lib from mesa

<acheam> phoebos: no
<acheam> But it is designed for the BSDs, and most of it was written on oBSD
<acheam> I use hexchat on obsd
<phoebos> aye, which is why it's worrying that i can't set it up :p
<phoebos> getting an unhelpful perror on tls_configure: failed to read private key
<GalaxyNova> If GNU hurd was finished would you use it instead of linux
<GalaxyNova> it's more KISS in some ways
<phoebos> GalaxyNova: i feel you but no
<phoebos> ew GNU
<GalaxyNova> lol
<GalaxyNova> A microkernel is very tempting
<acheam> phoebos: lol
<acheam> #ascii.town@tilde.chat
<acheam> Is the relevant irc channel
