<nekomancer[m]>
I see file `/etc/initramfs-tools/initramfs.conf` contain only one line: `RESUME=none`
<nekomancer[m]>
will try to copy it from working image

<nekomancer[m]>
then root of my failure was broken during update `/etc/initramfs-tools/initramfs.conf`
<nekomancer[m]>
now will try to switch kernel to `edge`..
<lanefu>
its alive?
<nekomancer[m]>
it was
<nekomancer[m]>
bit it dead with trying to switch kernel to edge from armbian-config ^)

<archetech>
all that from trying to use armbian-config for kern change been there
<nekomancer[m]>
eee... this script does nothing, only declare 2 function and 1 variable
<nekomancer[m]>
that means instruction is wrong
<nekomancer[m]>
uboot package I extract to perform it was build locally with armbian trunk for edge
<nekomancer[m]>
but uboot currently in SBC successfuly boots from sdcard with same packages: `Linux droid 5.15.16-meson64 #trunk SMP PREEMPT Sat Jan 22 00:55:07 UTC 2022 aarch64 aarch64 aarch64 GNU/Linux` booted now, where I run chroot to my unbootable emmc system
<nekomancer[m]>
`write_uboot_platform_mtd` called only in `nand-sata-install`

is there any photos or wikis or home pages of peoples hardware hacking?
<parabyte>
im thinking of adding in pcie to my tegra 2 board, the hard way and just needed some inspiration before i embark with my really fine transformer wire
<buZz>
eh?
<buZz>
yes, there's any photos of peoples' projects, ofcourse

hi all. Since there's currently pretty hard to find a raspberry pi on this planet atm and rather a few wants one to use octoprint, I was thinking of setting up and perhaps even standardising on something with armbian. However, I've tried a few and not all of them work too well. Where can I find a list of 'supported' hardware that I can trust?
<RoyK>
yang: you misunderstand - I just want to get a well supported board :)
<juri_>
welcome to armbian. :) too many boards, not enough maintainers.
<IgorPec>
RoyK: thos on the download pages are well supported, others are in build system only or in archive
<IgorPec>
but since not all boards are best for everything ... you need to tell more
<nekomancer[m]>
yesterday I finish my studies with working N2. but it not returns from reboot today.
<nekomancer[m]>
and now I see on uboot console: when I try to run `ls mmc 1:1` — it time-to-time shows list of files from /boot partition of emmc, but more often returns only part of filellist, ends with different errors.
<RoyK>
it's just that good+cheap rarely show up at the same time
<IgorPec>
just new versions have new phy and wifi which we have not implemented drivers yet.
<IgorPec>
this problem is present on all boards now due to chip shortage
<RoyK>
I wonder how long that shortage will last
<RoyK>
They blamed it on covid
<RoyK>
and then whatnot
<IgorPec>
can't tell
<juri_>
RoyK: let me know when covid goes away, K?
<IgorPec>
i only know it costs me a lot more while earning the same ;)
<RoyK>
juri_: AFAICS it's on return in Europe
<RoyK>
I mean - the number of hospitalised people are dropping
<IgorPec>
not sure if chip shortage is much related to corona
<RoyK>
number of infected by omicron is rising, but no big deal, because people don't really get that ill
<juri_>
yeah.. i've lost employees and family to this one.
<RoyK>
juri_: to omicron?
<IgorPec>
to omicron?
<juri_>
my wife's cousin got off of the ventilator. fully vaxed. will spend the next 4 years re-learning to walk, because strokes from covid clotting.
<juri_>
yep.
<juri_>
she's 25.
<juri_>
:/
<juri_>
DO NOT fuck around with covid.
<RoyK>
number of infections in Norway skyrockets, number of hospitalised people keeps falling
<RoyK>
number of vaccinated above 18 is around 90%
<RoyK>
juri_: I somewhat doubt that was omicron
<RoyK>
better check that
<juri_>
yeah. no.

<RoyK>
oh well
<nekomancer[m]>
<IgorPec> "install package then go to nand..." <- it not asks where to flash... will it flash to `mmcblk1` if I run it booted from sdcard `mmcblk0`?
<nekomancer[m]>
found `/var/log/nand-sata-install.log`, but there only info about start. Not what and where was written.
<nekomancer[m]>
what does it mean? I not rebuild u-boot?
<nekomancer[m]>
or writing not work.
p0g0 has joined #armbian
<nekomancer[m]>
yes, yes, yes. `nand-sata-install` writes uboot to sdcard if booted from sdcard. not to emmc. at least on my N2, where sdcard is `/dev/mmcblk0`, and emmc is `/dev/mmcblk1`
