<libsys>
how is it that some gems are available on bundle exec but others don't? for instance, I can do `bundle exec irb` on some systems but on others I can't

Is there a ruby version of something like pyenv to keep gems isolated?

Maybe 'bundle config set --local path path/to/env'

IIRC RVM has (had?) a gem set feature for that. But the modern day solution is Bundler. It resolves what versions, and what gems are available at runtime. Gems not in the bundle can't see each other.

thanks ox1eef_ and gemmaro

Is the original CVS history of pre Jan 1998 ruby development available anywhere?

niitotantei I see, I temporarily forgot how to use git. It appears that master only goes back to 1998, but there are other tags, indeed, thanks
