<norayr> hello, maemo people. do i have missing repos?
<norayr> $ apt-cache search python-gst
<norayr> Depends: python-qt4-dev but it is not going to be installed
<norayr> ___
<norayr> Depends: python-qt4-dbus but it is not going to be installed
<norayr> Depends: python-gst-1-0 but it is not installable
<norayr> E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt --fix-broken install' with no packages (or specify a solution).
<norayr> ___
<norayr> hm, i can actually install python-qt4-dbus from devuan repos.
<norayr> and python-qt4-dev
<norayr> ok, i built the sleepanalyser package.
<norayr> yay
<norayr> but it cannot find the accelecation sensor, at least on pinephone.
<norayr> will try on droid4 tomorrow.

<sicelo> I think it needs porting to qt5. We don't have qt4 iirc
<sicelo> As for sensor ... now mce uses iio, so you also need to change the sensor logic

<norayr> python2.7 qt4 is available, i thought it would be available by leste repos, but it's in debian. not sure how long they may keep it.
<freemangordon> Wizzup: presence-ui account status tracking is (or at least should be) fixed now
<Wizzup> we don't plan to use/support it. best to go for qt5
<Wizzup> freemangordon: ok
<freemangordon> ci is building updated package ATM, please upgrade after it is ready and LMK when we can start working on conversations
<Wizzup> norayr: as in, it will be gone in the next debian
<freemangordon> Wizzup: shall I import idle plugin?
<norayr> eh.. then i guess i'd better writing and supporting my own apps than trying to revive older...
<Wizzup> freemangordon: yes, I think that'd be good
<freemangordon> I think it should wait
<Wizzup> norayr: porting them is not hard
<freemangordon> I know it is good, but do we need it now?
<Wizzup> freemangordon: I think it's an easier way to test for some, but I am fine either way
<Wizzup> if we have the src then it's probably helpful to have
<Wizzup> if it takes RE then maybe we wait
<freemangordon> it is foss
<freemangordon> do we need all the plugins from there?
<Wizzup> I think salut is not very useful, but haze would be good
<Wizzup> butterfly is msn which I think is dead
<Wizzup> so I'd say idle and haze
<freemangordon> ok
<freemangordon> shall it pull the relevant telepathy plugins? (idle and xxx?)
<Wizzup> haze
<Wizzup> mhm
<freemangordon> what is the tp plugin for haze? telepathy-haze?
<freemangordon> oh, I shall RE jabber plugin some day
<Wizzup> freemangordon: the rtcom one you mean?
<Wizzup> it's probably very similar to the gtalk one
<freemangordon> yeah, but still
<norayr> what is RE?
<norayr> we teed jabber most of all (:
<norayr> need*
<freemangordon> Reverse Engineer

<sicelo> norayr: yes, thats the i2c path for n900 accel. If you want hacky stuff, i guess you can just change it to d4 path. i think /coord had all the values (xyz) in one file, while iio tends to separate them out.

<Wizzup> freemangordon: I see you improved the code with tp accounts without rtcom plugin
<freemangordon> hmm, what code?
<Wizzup> well, presence ui now shows the names of my accounts
<Wizzup> before it was a blank ui elemant
<Wizzup> element*
<freemangordon> ah, yes, there was a bug I introduced with REing
<freemangordon> but rtcom plugins have nothing to do with it
<freemangordon> those are needed by accounts-ui only
<Wizzup> ok
<freemangordon> the change in account_data_func is what fixes it
<Wizzup> check
<Wizzup> brb
<Wizzup> btw, it looks like my status area just keeps crashing (in vm only)
<Wizzup> I'll debug when I get back
<Wizzup> (it's related to presence I think)
<freemangordon> could be
<freemangordon> make sure to upgrade first
<buZz> i see this in the jenkins output on phoenix. : https://i.imgur.com/NKbYY4x.png
<buZz> not sure if it matters, was just searching for differences between the two newest builds

<Wizzup> I think it might just be uninitialised
<freemangordon> yes, but why
<Wizzup> if (!can_change_presence)
<Wizzup> type = TP_CONNECTION_PRESENCE_TYPE_AVAILABLE;
<Wizzup> else
<Wizzup> type = tp_account_get_current_presence(account, NULL, &message);
<Wizzup> probably because get current presence is not called
<freemangordon> ugh :)
<freemangordon> yeah
<Wizzup> maybe if there is no icd2 connection
<freemangordon> no, 'can_change_presence' means 'if account supports presence changes'
<freemangordon> what accounts do you have set-up?
<Wizzup> ah, so maybe there is an acc I have that you haven't tried?
<freemangordon> mhm
<Wizzup> probably because I have a telepathy-tank one set up
<freemangordon> idle?
<freemangordon> yeah, that should be it
<freemangordon> ugh
<Wizzup> well I can remove it for now
<freemangordon> what is this, chat?
<Wizzup> it's for matrix
<freemangordon> no, do not
<Wizzup> ok
<freemangordon> there is a bug I shall fix
<freemangordon> but, the manager file looks... empty?
<freemangordon> does plugin implement any TP interface?
<Wizzup> it should
<Wizzup> I had it running
<freemangordon> like, does it support presence?
<Wizzup> I would have to check, but I bet not.
<freemangordon> looks like it does
<Wizzup> well, I can't know for sure if it causes the bug
<Wizzup> I can remove it for now and see
<Wizzup> oh yeah it has some presences
<freemangordon> so, it seems tehre are 2 issues
<freemangordon> *there
<Wizzup> I just removed it
<Wizzup> the bug is still there it seems
<freemangordon> what account do you have?
<Wizzup> now it's just idle and jabber
<Wizzup> which I also have on the d4 where it works
<freemangordon> could you rebuild presence-ui locally with 'DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS="noopt nostrip debug nocheck nodoc" dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot -b'
<freemangordon> in the meanwhile I will setup idle accoun
<Wizzup> ok
<Wizzup> gpg: skipped "Ivaylo Dimitrov <ivo.g.dimitrov.75@gmail.com>": No secret key
<Wizzup> gpg: dpkg-sign.Y2TgfQzP/rtcom-presence-ui_0.0.1_amd64.buildinfo: clear-sign failed: No secret key
<Wizzup> I will remove the signing
<freemangordon> just ignore that error
<Wizzup> well I did that, what info do you want now/
<freemangordon> install .deb package first :)
<Wizzup> I did of course :)
<freemangordon> then restart hildon-status-menu
<Wizzup> I did in gdb
<freemangordon> ok
<Wizzup> and it crashes - what info do you need
<freemangordon> backtrace is the same?
<freemangordon> like, it crashes on the smae line?
<freemangordon> sec to see how to get which account you have the crash for
<freemangordon> Wizzup: "p *account"
<freemangordon> ok, I know what the bug is
<freemangordon> Wizzup: still, I want account data to see why it says that presences are not supported
<Wizzup> ok
<Wizzup> from what frame?
<Wizzup> freemangordon: http://dpaste.com/EDYR4H3XC
<freemangordon> well, this is idle account :)
<freemangordon> irc does not support presence?
<Wizzup> I guess?
<Wizzup> I don't know
<Wizzup> it works on fremantle at least
<Wizzup> it looks like it does not support presence
<Wizzup> in fremantle it's online when I requested 'busy'
<Wizzup> same for sip
<freemangordon> yeah, no presences it seems then
<Wizzup> weird
<Wizzup> I do have it (idle) set up on my d4 too

<freemangordon> yes
<Wizzup> maybe it can't make a window or something silly?
<freemangordon> mhm
* freemangordon restarts the vm
fmg_leste_vm has joined #maemo-leste
<fmg_leste_vm> ok, that's better :)
<freemangordon> it seems after empathy is installed a restart is required
<Wizzup> aha
<freemangordon> now testing a fix for the crash

<freemangordon> yeah, those were not crashes
<Wizzup> empathy doesn't force it back?
<freemangordon> a minute to push
<freemangordon> no
<Wizzup> sure
<freemangordon> why should it
<Wizzup> idk it did all sorts of weird things for me
<freemangordon> I never saw it misbehaving
fmg_leste_vm has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
<freemangordon> Wizzup: please upgrade
<Wizzup> works
<freemangordon> hmm, isn't it better to just rename rtcom-accounts-plugin-gtalk to rtcom-accounts-plugins and add idle (and others) there ?
<freemangordon> I see no point in having a separate package for each and every plugin
<Wizzup> agreed
<Wizzup> also is there really a diff between gtalk and normal xmpp/jabber
<Wizzup> I guess in ui
<Wizzup> they use the same tp plugin
<freemangordon> yeah
<freemangordon> lemme try idle first
