i'm facing a reproductible issue with a nanopi r2s

Is it hanging during uboot or after it gets handed off to the kernel? whats ur dmesg look like?

i get nothing in dmesg, because when booting, kernel log buffer get filled by iptables logs

Have you checked to if its a service fail? `sudo systemctl status` if you see degraded then run `sudo systemctl` and find the service that is failing.

Usually hitting enter a bunch of times will skip the service from continuing to try and load.
