<wmills_>
rburton: you are right, in stock styhead images (I am using core-image-weston) HDMI does not work on beagleplay. Evidently the kconfig tweaks I did to fix the kv260 video also fixes the beagleplay video
<wmills_>
If Mikko has not already done so you need CONFIG_DMA_CMA=y, CONFIG_CMA_SIZE_MBYTES=32 at least (I have 64 but I think that is probibly overkill). You had 16 originally and that is enough for psplash but not enough for X.org or weston
<wmills_>
I also get CONFIG_CMA_SIZE_SEL_MBYTES=y and CONFIG_CMA_ALIGNMENT=8 but I think those are the defaults once you turn on the others

Anyone knows how to autostart systemd unit template? If it's a standard unit - not a template it works fine, however I have problems with unit templates. Ofc I can start them from shell using systemctl start myunit@1 however I would like to make it working without any user interaction. Should I add something to my recipe?

pbiel: the systemd class might not work with templates. you could add some indirection - write an untemplated service that depends on the template and then enable that

dvergatal: do these multiconfigs use the same machine? if each subconfig has a different machine, you should be able to use that, or maybe even just set INITRAMFS_IMAGE directly in the individual subconfigs and let your distro set it with ?= (or ??=) so it can be overridden
<dvergatal>
KanjiMonster: i have multiple machines
<dvergatal>
KanjiMonster: the problem is that I have different initramfs for different multiconfig
<dvergatal>
within same distro
<KanjiMonster>
right, so set it to different values in each sub config?

RP: yes i'm overriding in each multiconfig
<dvergatal>
this is my default approach
<dvergatal>
but I was thinking on some other possibilities like in case of prepern or append that actually you can do something like this DISTRO_FEATURES:remove:mc_name = "polkit"
<dvergatal>
that you can set a variable like i.e. INIT_SYSTEM:mc_name = "systemd"
<dvergatal>
prepend*

zeddii: what kernels will be in 5.2?? 6.12 will be one of the choices right? what will be the other? 6.6? 6.13?
<wmills_>
rburton: can we ensure poky-alt is using 6.12 for 5.2 release? I don't really care what kernel poky plain uses
* Slimey
puts KanjiMonster inside a Quantum Bigfoot hard drive and powers it on
<rburton>
wmills_: literally impossible. poky-alt is the "alternative config", so systemd and lts kernel.
<RP>
wmills_: I suspect it will just be 6.12
<RP>
rburton: if we just shipped with 6.12, that could happen
<rburton>
yeah i need to dig out the mail from bruce with his plans
<KanjiMonster>
Slimey: what did I do to deserve that ;P
<rburton>
if we're lucky then its just 6.12 and we have a smaller matrix for a change :)
<Slimey>
hehe no reason
<RP>
We usually have a recent kernel and an LTS and I think they could be the same thing for this release
<wmills_>
6.12 or newer is OK for me. Right now its 6.6 which is not a very good preview for where we expect to be on 5.2
<RP>
wmills_: we should check with zeddii but I think that may get removed

hello everyone I have a bbappend from yocto sumo in which I have a command "install -m 444 ${WORKDIR}/php-fpm.conf ${D}/${sysconfdir}/php-fpm.conf". I have copied this in latest yocto as I am upstreaming yocto. I am getting error
