<sicelo> did the leste-config-mapphone stuff get fixed? i was just upgrading my d4, and encountering dependency hell on leste-config
<sicelo> Wizzup: establishing gprs connection fails on droid 4. https://paste.debian.net/1263608/ shows the current status. any ideas/suggestions?
<sicelo> i don't mind using ofono-scripts for it, but of course GUI would be more convenient
<sicelo> should i add the context in ofono directly, since it's missing there?

<SuperMarioSF> Wizzup, some bad news.
<SuperMarioSF> DHL doesn't have service outpost in my city
<SuperMarioSF> and SF express just denied anything smartphone to be sent.
<SuperMarioSF> they allow handheld PC, but not smartphone/
<SuperMarioSF> I guess I have to take them with me to Shenzhen, find a actual DHL outpost and send from there.
<SuperMarioSF> There will be some delay, but won't for a month long.

<sicelo> the issue where it brings up conflict regarding bionic and some other mapphones
<sicelo> but i didn't have time to look into it further, so i let it be
<freemangordon> Wizzup: did you fix mafw-shared by chance?
<freemangordon> I assume not, going to try to fix it
<Wizzup> freemangordon: no, I don't have time to look into this test edge case on the CI atm
<Wizzup> I do recall we had issues with this exact thing a few years back IIRC
<Wizzup> mafw and disk full test rings a bell
<freemangordon> ok, I will try to fix, or at least try to find the what the issue is
<freemangordon> Wizzup: is there a way to keep the builder directories after a failed build?
<Wizzup> freemangordon: not sure tbh
<Wizzup> maybe if I hack/change the jenkins builder
<freemangordon> ok, I'll try on PP first
<Wizzup> ok
<freemangordon> ok, not one but 3 tests fail on PP
<freemangordon> oh: dbus_bus_request_name(com.nokia.mafw.playlist): service already running
<freemangordon> test-pld.c:204:F:Playlist persistence:test_diskfull:0: Assertion 'pls == ((void *)0)' failed
<freemangordon> :)
<freemangordon> this is on PP
<freemangordon> so, we really have issue
<Wizzup> good find
<Wizzup> uvos: do we still need gnome contacts fork?
<Wizzup> freemangordon: shall I try to go for mesa 22.2.x or shall we stay on our 21.2.5?
<Wizzup> chimaera is on mesa 20.3.5
<freemangordon> does 22 support our pvr driver?
<Wizzup> I mean, we'll probably have to forward patch stuff
<Wizzup> personally I see not reason to do it now
<Wizzup> our libdrm and mesa in beowulf are still newer than in chimaera
<Wizzup> so we can just import them
<Wizzup> IMO
<freemangordon> my point was - is it even possible to forward-port the patch?
<freemangordon> because they removed support for external drivers at some point
<Wizzup> freemangordon: oh, no idea
<buZz> btw, i noticed that when i move leste install to a different d4, first time gprs-online from boot takes some minutes
<buZz> -until- i booted android on that different d4 once, since then lesteboot to gprs-online is instant again
<buZz> its like the modem remembers some stuff
<Wizzup> it does
<Wizzup> it has its own os
<Wizzup> and there are instructions on things you can do on our wiki page
<buZz> oh on d4/Modem ? i just accepted the delay, and was suprised i could get 'remove' it :)
<buZz> hmm, not that page i guess
<Wizzup> maybe try to find out what changed in the nvram
<buZz> hmm no
<buZz> Wizzup: i'll need to try to get it back in previous state then :) will keep messing with it some

<Wizzup> since we don't need elogind
<Wizzup> well, no, there's modest I guess
<freemangordon> tinymail?
<Wizzup> I think so, and gtkhtml3, I didn't look at it yet but BlagovestPetrov[ said they didn't work
<freemangordon> I won;t have time to look today
<freemangordon> or...
<freemangordon> lemme try to spend 15 minutes on gtkhtml3
<BlagovestPetrov[> i'll be available to check them in 1-2 hours
<freemangordon> gtkhtml3.14 builds just fine
<freemangordon> lemme build for chimaera
<Wizzup> freemangordon: looks like gtkhtml just worked
<freemangordon> mhm
<Wizzup> probably it was just tinymail then
<freemangordon> trying tinymail ATM
<Wizzup> iirc it was nss related

<vectis> The "F" keys (F1 - F10) don't seem to work on my D4. All the other extra keys seem to work (the ones that need the "OK" key as a modifier)
<Wizzup> where do you see F1-F10 on your d4?
akossh has joined #maemo-leste
<Wizzup> funny, I never saw that before, is that really how our xkb data looks?
<Wizzup> (says the guy who made several of these for the wiki:))
<vectis> Not implemented then?
<Wizzup> I think if the image shows it, then it should work, I don't know what h-i-m does with it
<sicelo> maybe some programs don't expect a 'generated' F-key ... someone reported a similar issue with F keys on N900 in pmOS. although my memory is a little hazy now, i think it showed up in evtest/xev, but didn't work in htop.
<sicelo> i have had more pressing issues to look at however, although someday i should look into it as device maintainer
<sicelo> vectis: check if those F keys show up in xev
Hard_Fault has joined #maemo-leste
<sicelo> so yes, same problem. the F key shows up in xev, but htop doesn't 'see' it
<sicelo> just tested on my leste d4
<vectis> They seem to work in X, just tried F3 in firefox (search)
<vectis> I meant graphical programs.
<Wizzup> sicelo: could be h-i-m
<sicelo> i don't think it's h-i-m. as mentioned, it's there in pmOS too
<freemangordon> Wizzup: sure, will push later on or tomorrow, have guests ATM
<sicelo> no idea if it's passing, but i'm glad to see now droid 4 connects to wifi on first try. no longer the initial 'connection failed' message
<sicelo> at least *my droid4*
<freemangordon> sicelo: what has changed?
<sicelo> no idea tbh. but i noticed in last day or two that i no longer get that first connection failed
<sicelo> however, once again i have difficulty getting it to charge from empty. i haven't had issues with this for months now (since disabling charge-mode), but somehow it's back
<freemangordon> please make a release
<Wizzup> freemangordon: great, will do
<Wizzup> sicelo: I didn't change anything fwiw
<sicelo> maybe kernel ... no idea. i was the only one experiencing this?
<Wizzup> I don't think I ever used the f5 buttons
<Wizzup> for htop I just use the mouse interface
<Wizzup> gpm or whatever it is
<Wizzup> s/f5/f/
<freemangordon> sicelo: no, it is the same here (first attempt always fails)
<Wizzup> yeah the wifi problem remains afaik
<Wizzup> freemangordon: building now, ty
<sicelo> ok. interesting. i can't say it's the AP, because it's my AP at home, and I haven't made any changes. oh well, let's hope it lasts :p
<Wizzup> maybe something just connects on boot, silently fails, and you don't notice it?
<Wizzup> (and it just seems like it is fixed)
<sicelo> no. i always have autoconnect disabled
<sicelo> (even in fremantle)
<Wizzup> ok
