<kris_> midfavila what SOC do you have in yours?
<midfavila> imx8mq
<midfavila> it's a dinky little one, but it's stable, efficient, and has the best featureset for my usecase
<kris_> the keyboard looks pretty kick ass for a laptop
<kris_> are you using the trackball or the trackpad addon
<midfavila> trackball
<midfavila> and the keyboard is quite nice
<midfavila> it's a little light and not tactile enough for me, and since i have a first-revision it lacks stabilisers so there's a bit of flex leading to double-actuation, but newer models have the anti-flex bars by default
<midfavila> i've considered modifying my reform to either use blues or similar, or a stripped-down kishsaver beamspring mounted directly into the chassis
<midfavila> of course, that would require a custom chassis, but that would be fine
<midfavila> if i could have a beamspring, trackball, and e-paper display in my reform, i would be ecstatic
<kris_> i'm surprised to see jeff geerling running gnome on it lol
<kris_> this does not seem like a gnome system to me
