ukky: Bloody hell. Got given a fan to fix. I checked every component and wire to find out what is wrong. Everything is fine. Later I checked the capcitor. It is fine too. So I am guessing motor. Went camping came back did some shit, then took a closer look at this fan. Ahhhh... Some clown smashed the rotate button down so hard it jammed the gears. So looks like they fried the motor.

I don't have the equipment to test the motor here in Malaysia. But I do know one thing. Cheaper to buy a new fan than replace the motor on an old fan. So I got me some spare parts now
