<AndyADD> Hello, I have armbian 23.02.2 Focal on Orange Pi Zero 2, I am trying to get endoscope to work with it, and it appears it works when I use the provided usb OTG, from what I have googled it seems the USB-C has OTG, would this mean I can connect endoscope directly to USB-C? I am powering my Pi via gpio right now.

<Kanken> i had unfrozen kernel updates...
<DC-IRC>
<Kanken> and i think that's what broke it long term
<DC-IRC>
<Kanken> in retrospect not a great idea, i thought it may fix a few issues like that broken reboot watchdog
<DC-IRC>
<Kanken> rn i don't know if this can even be fixef
<DC-IRC>
<Kanken> rn i don't know if this can even be fixed
<DC-IRC>
<Kanken> i already backed up all the data so it's not that bad but idk if i should try and fix the current install or start from scratch 🤔
<DC-IRC>
<Kanken> seems like it's broken down to the uboot install

w00t! I have the official orange pi image flashed to sd, and it boots! 💃
<Sabotender>
its unfortunate that no armbian image booted. no pwr led lights. nothing.
<p0g0>
An OP5?
<Sabotender>
orange pi zero 2
<archetech>
I tried to tell ya
<DC-IRC>
<Jason123> The orange pi zero is old but works and even with all upstream debian packages

<TuxTheArchUser> I use Arch... does it means that I also have to install Docker?
<DC-IRC>
<IgorPec> try. i have to cook lunch
<DC-IRC>
<TuxTheArchUser> Okay
<DC-IRC>
<TuxTheArchUser> Thank you
<DC-IRC>
<TuxTheArchUser> Sorry for disturb
<DC-IRC>
<Werner> Either use Docker or spin up a VM with Jammy.

<agl> @IgorPec: I have buyed yesterday a ThinkPad X13s with Qualmcom Snapdragon 8cx Gen3 processor. Then I hae more Hardware to test and not only the samsung Galaxy Book S with 8cx Gen1 processor. I'am will write about the Test on the Galaxy Book S Notebook and post it in the forum.
<DC-IRC>
<Tenkawa> @TuxTheArchUser Docker is for Software containers...
<DC-IRC>
<Tenkawa> not websites at all

<IgorPec> Great, but I think none of is working yet. At least not with standard UEFI image
<DC-IRC>
<agl> The UEFI-arm64 Image works on the Galaxy Book S but I can not access the internel SSD and SD-Card and Bluetooth does also not working. Network access goes over an Inateck USB-C box with RJ45 Ethernet.
<DC-IRC>
<TuxTheArchUser> Can anyone suggest me some cheap open-source phone/tablet?
<DC-IRC>
<TuxTheArchUser> I'm too poor to buy PinePhone

<IgorPec> agl yeah, this is how it looks like when support is not finished
<DC-IRC>
<agl> @IgorPec: I have connected a 1TB SSD over USB at the Inateck USB-C box, and so I can use "armbian/build" from github and build an Image. This works. The X11-Environment does also work.

<IgorPec> @agl here, if you wanna help, try assembling all resources that currently exists for this hw, git projects, hints, ... that can help us moving
<DC-IRC>
<AndyADD> So I was asking about this yesterday, but I think what I was missing is that I'll still need an otg cable or is that done internally, and I can just connect a USB c cable?
<DC-IRC>
<Esteemed Immortal Doctor Tien> what is "crazy" aarch64 hardware?
<DC-IRC>
<IgorPec> lot of CPU cores (80-128), lots of memory (256Gb+)

<Tenkawa> Or my Laptop... lol
<DC-IRC>
<IgorPec> a few of your laptops 😉
<DC-IRC>
<Tenkawa> If I could ever get a laptop with 32 cores and 128gb of ram and not be bent on having to have the best video card in existence I'd buy it
<DC-IRC>
<Tenkawa> I "don't need video"
<DC-IRC>
<Tenkawa> lol
<DC-IRC>
<IgorPec> probably there are such laptops, in intel world?
<DC-IRC>
<Tenkawa> Oh I have a Apple behemoth already... and I hate X86
<DC-IRC>
<IgorPec> mac mini m2 pro would also be nice for this job, except memory is a bit too expensive
