<rpardini> Yep, might soon start breaking build with a warning if LIB_TAG is found at all, since it does nothing right now.
<Armbian-Discord>
<rpardini> Still, it did something before, so might as well warn.

Yeah some folks may have a workflow that relied on it so a strong warning would be fair

<dave-am> Am I missing some parameters?

<dave-am> Thanks in advance.

<HabitualTinkerer> I'm looking for a low-cost (<$50), ARM64 SBC with at least 1GB RAM, 8GB EMMC, Ethernet and WiFi to run some 3D printer management software. Graphics support entirely unnecessary. What are my best options? So far it looks like Orange Pi 3 LTS is decent. Is there anything with better mainline support or perhaps something with better specs in my price range?

<HabitualTinkerer> I don't need any cases, accessories or power cables. Just a board. Would prefer to stay away from sdcards

<floork> can somebody help me with installing docker, because i followed the official guide from the armbian docs and when i try to run add-apt-repository "deb [arch=arm64] https://download.docker.com/linux/debian $(lsb_release -cs) stable" i get the following error:
<Armbian-Discord>
<floork> N: Updating from such a repository can't be done securely, and is therefore disabled by default.

Hi, I would like to build armbian for a rockpi4, but it fails right after the start. Any help would be great. Please see: https://paste.next.armbian.com/eyuvowehav

<Werner> Have you tried to restart with same settings? If so try again with ARTIFACT_IGNORE_CACHE=yes switch since it seems that artifact fetch fails
<ccf>
Werner: Thanks for your input. Indeed I have and it worked compiling a kernel. I'm testing rockpi4 for sound support. Seems broken on edge-kernel (6.1). Now I'm testing LTS kernel.
<Armbian-Discord>
<Werner> Well there is a reason why it is called "edge" 😄
<ccf>
it "sould" not break. The rk3399 seems not very well tested/supported as compared to NXP i.mx series...
<ccf>
and 6.1 is also a stable kernel
<ccf>
even an LTS one
<Armbian-Discord>
<Werner> kernel.org definition of stable has no meaning for us. Armbian heavily patches mainline sources to make them work with boards. It takes time to adjust patches, to check what broke and so on.
<Armbian-Discord>
<Werner> Goal of course is to bump current edge with is old LTS from 5.15 to 6.1 but we are not there yet
<ccf>
Yeah, thanks for clarification. By the way, I want to have a look at the patches in the "build.git/" directory. I can see in cache/ that there is a kernel git tree and all changes applied. A quilt-patchstack or something would be nice to see all changes. Is there something like that in armbian?
<ccf>
I have already spotted a bug in rk3399.dtsi, I might send it mainline so sooner or later it should drop into armbian I guess.
<Armbian-Discord>
<Werner> Not sure if I understood correctly since I am no developer so I don't know what a quilt patchstack is 😄 Anyway all changes that get applied - depending on board family - can be found here: https://github.com/armbian/build/tree/main/patch/kernel
<ccf>
THanks, I already knew. But a git log with all the patches would be nice and quilt is a tool to organize patches so that I know the order how they get applied. That leads to the question: What is the order the patches get applied?

The issue seems to be in my bootloader, ... with all-armbian sound and DMA works on rockpi4a

<kreyren2>
Does anyone have more info on the state of RK3588* development in terms of linux mainlining?
<kreyren2>
bcs olimex said that they will make an OSHW SBC for it once it has mainline linux support
<ccf>
For rk3399, using u-boot and TF-A mainline leads to DMA probe issue in linux-kernel: "OF: amba_device_add() failed (-19) for /dma-controller@ff6d0000". Using the u-boot with rkbin stuff from armbian works. Any ideas?

<Armbian-Discord> "<floork> can somebody help me..." <- are you sure you need docker not from OS repository? installable just `apt install docker`?
