<c0rnelius> any armbian folk messed around with the 2GB variant of the radxa zero?
<lanefu> A bit
<lanefu> Currently still booting from sdcard on mine

<c0rnelius> I have wifi and emmc issues with mine. The 4gb works fine though, so I'm kind of at a loss as to whats its deal. I also noticed oddities. CoreELEC when flashed uses mmcblk0, Vendor mmcblk2 (wifi doesn't work) and mainline mmcblk0 (wifi works half the time). Also wifi tries to attach its self to [ 6360.535400] mmc2: tuning execution failed: -5
<c0rnelius> If I flash mainline uboot to the board and power down and then power up. It won't boot and tries to still going into mmcblk2 for some reason. If I then touch the GPIO pins it will spit out text into the uboot terminal.
<c0rnelius> its like the gpio pins are a half ass keyboard :)
<c0rnelius> I'm sorry mainline used mmcblk1 (on mainline)
<c0rnelius> emmc
<TRS-80> c0rnelius: o/
* TRS-80 goes back to editing WIP Release Announcement
<c0rnelius> TRS-80: Yeah its nuts. Since I flashed CE to it I'm nervous about trying to reflash the eMMMC. Seeing that it reads it as mmcblk0, which is the default boot. It won't read SDCARD(S) currently.
<TRS-80> c0rnelius: You want to be Board Maintainer for our new RPi target? :D
<c0rnelius> TRS-80: I didn't believe I needed to be. Could just ask me questions when something goes wrong. I might know the answer.
<TRS-80> Well, if you can continue monitoring forum for those RPi related questions, as it seems you have been already, that is already a tremendous help.
<c0rnelius> There isn't much when it comes to Pis and ur current img works fine now from what I can tell. I think the ubuntu implementation is ugly, but if it works whatever.
<c0rnelius> and I mean Ubuntu as in boot structure.
<TRS-80> I think that so far our reputation as RPi haters is keeping most of traffic away still. :D
<TRS-80> luckily
<c0rnelius> True dat
<TRS-80> but it may start to change
<c0rnelius> its actually a solid img though
<c0rnelius> very optimized for desktop use I thought.
<c0rnelius> 99% of the boards I have I run headless. All my pis are headless currently. So I guess I'm not the best go to for `I care about an Arm desktop`.
<c0rnelius> TRS-80: Ur a conspiracy buff last time I checked. What do you think is wrong with people? It would seem to me that a very large portion of the world population (people with media access) have kind of lost it.
<c0rnelius> Something in water or has the news / media finally broke these folk?
<TRS-80> vast majority of people do not want to think, it is apparently actually painful for them, simple as
<TRS-80> I read an excellent pasta to this point just last night in factm and I knew I should have taken it down and here we are
<c0rnelius> I have noticed this behavior though in all ages. Its not isolated. Effects all age groups and they get rude and violent when you point it out.
<TRS-80> oh yes, never point it out, lol
<TRS-80> just talk about weather and sportsball
<c0rnelius> fucking strange
<TRS-80> To us, yes. They feel the same way about us. :p
<c0rnelius> apparently
<TRS-80> gn gang
<c0rnelius> piece. drink zima
<TRS-80> > going with plan Z
<TRS-80> :D
<TRS-80> cheers

<schwarz_Kat> IgorPec - we discussed net-phy-Add-driver-for-Motorcomm-YT85xx-PHYs.patch from 5.14 last week.
<schwarz_Kat> The net-phy-Add-driver-for-Motorcomm-YT85xx-PHYs.patch from 5.14 doesn't work with 5.15y, in fact it compiles without errors but it badly breaks something.
<schwarz_Kat> It also works on 5.15y without the two patches. Not sure how. The existing 5.15y Motorcomm driver is still only for YT8511.
<schwarz_Kat> I have my Orangepi-r1plus-lts working on 5.10y with the YT85xx-PHYs.patch and a YT8531 patch that adds the extra phy.

<schwarz_Kat> IvorPec: I just re-read my comment. I thought it made sense when I wrote it LOL. It was far past midnight.
<schwarz_Kat> The original fix in 5.10y does exactly what you suggested, replacing the YT8511 driver.
<schwarz_Kat> BUT orangepi-r1plus-lts (YT8531C) works on 5.15y with no patches. How... I don't know.
<schwarz_Kat> The same patch breaks 5.15y.
<schwarz_Kat> I don't have boards with any of the other phy's to test, but perhaps they also will work.
