Hi all, I'm new to IRC so still finding my way around. I have a question about the Armbian Build Environment linux-5.15.y contets. Is this an appropriate channel to ask?

<Werner>
Sure, just shoot
<Werner>
5.15.y is available on "edge" branch only for the moment. bumping versions is in preparation
<schwarz_Kat>
I'm a beginner trying to get a new board going. I've got it working on current linux-5.10.y. For linux-5.15.y, I need to patch cache/sources/linux-mainline/linux-5.15.y/include/linux/motorcomm_phy.h, but it's missing. Can anyone help?
<schwarz_Kat>
Yes, it's on "edge".
<Werner>
And you are sure what you are looking for haven't been merged into linux/phy.h?
<Werner>
That seems to be a patch that used to apply over 5.4.y. However obviously things may have changed somewhere inbetween so the mentioned .h file does not exist anymore and its contents are probably shifted elsewhere
<Werner>
On the bottomline this does not seem to be an Armbian issue since there is nothing wrong with our patches and the Linux source, depending on board family, is most likely mainline.
<schwarz_Kat>
Thanks Werner. Sorry for being somewhat ignorant. That is the only patch that I have been able to find for that phy I will try to find where the content has moved.
<Werner>
No worries. Hope I could point a bit in the right direction

nekomancer[m], no but 3rd party sources probably have changed and broke something
<IgorPec>
nekomancer[m]: thos sources would be obsolete for many years if we would not adjust them. or upstream
<nekomancer[m]>
I read somewhere that some of rtl usb drivers upstreamed in 5.15. then I try to build without extrawifi. but no, without extrawifi them not starts
