<Armbian-Discord> <JessVagina> lanefu is a known liberal manchild
<Armbian-Discord> <JessVagina> You see, when you bring in trannies, they will kill the project, including armbian
<Armbian-Discord> <JessVagina> They will want to fork armbian and kick you out
<Armbian-Discord> <JessVagina> I can give you many examples, I find it funny how rust is falling apart now
<Armbian-Discord> <JessVagina> https://i.ibb.co/XWXMpmm/image.png
<Armbian-Discord> <JessVagina> Hell, I think I might have made the rust mod team walk out, those mozilla "employees" were quite fun to mess with
<Armbian-Discord> <JessVagina> so, yes, they just have the matrix.org abuse account proxy-mod their rooms lol
<[TheBug]> can you please leave
<Armbian-Discord> <JessVagina> If you can tell lanefu/"juri" to stop getting JackFrost to do fake k-lines, yes
<[TheBug]> no one cares what you want
<[TheBug]> your being annoying, please leave
<Armbian-Discord> <JessVagina> I can get around +r, you know
<Armbian-Discord> <JessVagina> you'll have to make the place +i
<Armbian-Discord> <JessVagina> afaik atheme can't handle subdomains in the badmail functions
<Armbian-Discord> <JessVagina> >new commits by amdj
<Armbian-Discord> <JessVagina> >verify code cleanup
<Armbian-Discord> <JessVagina> oh, it just can't be...

<Armbian-Discord> <JessVagina> obviously in a sexual relationship with amdj/aaron

<IgorPec> werner: good morning. yes
<Werner> Ideally a few people from different time zones to cover the day. If anyone wants to volunteer for either IRC or Discord (or both?) let me know.
<IgorPec> I think we need to write a summary for this position
<IgorPec> currently nobody knows this is needed
<Werner> Yeah, however I think it makes sense to ask for this in chat to reach people that are here already and have been for a while

<karlp> this is the usb link up issue I was talking about yesterday: https://imgur.com/a/mkmMizS
<karlp> I don't really get if this is expected, and "that's just how the gadget usb networking works" or if this is a bug somewhere?
<[TheBug]> hmm networkmanager involved?
xoan has quit [Quit: leaving...]
<[TheBug]> that thing is silly and does silly things imo
<[TheBug]> probably some way you can tell it to up the interface first
<[TheBug]> one way may be
<[TheBug]> add interface as auto in /etc/network/interfaces
<[TheBug]> auto usb0
xoan has joined #armbian
<c0rnelius> I thinks that would upset network manager.
<karlp> it makes no different at all actually.
<karlp> also, I've built my own image now, on edge, and installed armbia-config, but I don't have the option of installing to emmc? I had that option when I was using the base board file, and only difference in my build (so far) is replacing g_serial with g_cdc and changing the names

<krachlatte> # orangepizero2
<krachlatte> orangepizero2 legacy bullseye cli stable adv
<krachlatte> orangepizero2 legacy focal cli stable adv
<krachlatte> legacy kernel is not booting for these two images, move to beta ?
<TRS-80> this is for pig release, to be clear (coming from other channel)
<krachlatte> should i chnage them to beta ?
<TRS-80> Well maybe we can try some simple things first to fix?
<krachlatte> ok
<TRS-80> krachlatte: You have serial cable?
<krachlatte> yep nothing un serial cable no leds blinking on tx rx
<krachlatte> only green network led on
<krachlatte> wehn netwro cable connected
<krachlatte> and i am still trying to udnerstand all of this her e
<TRS-80> you are doinf gine
<TRS-80> doing fine
<TRS-80> Nothing at all? Check power, sd card, basic things. You have spares?
<TRS-80> This happen on multiple of same devices?
<krachlatte> i will try to build oranepi zero2 image and check for build erros with legacy kernel
<krachlatte> power is fine, other sd card runs fine
* TRS-80 wonders if build errors would pop up in our build system but does not know offhand
<krachlatte> uart stays connected
<TRS-80> Anyway, yeah, sounds like good course of action.
<krachlatte> i only switch sd card one boots fine output on console other bullsysse and focal on legacy shows just nothing, sd cards are fine switch allready
<krachlatte> ./compile.sh BOARD=orangepizero2 BRANCH=legacy KERNEL_ONLY=no RELEASE=focal
<krachlatte> going for this
<krachlatte> i am not sure anyone will use 4.9 kernel anyway
<TRS-80> well, if we publish it...
<TRS-80> there are also I think some statistics somewhere, not sure if public though
<krachlatte> o.k. ] Done building [ /home/krachlatte/buildstuff/armbian/.tmp/image-7ce7356f-35ec-474a-9d90-7cfcd65788a3/Armbian_22.02.0-trunk_Orangepizero2_focal_legacy_4.9.255.img
<krachlatte> i will try that one later
<krachlatte> if it works on 22.02.0
Ning has quit [Quit: Client closed]
<krachlatte> root@orangepizero2:~/autotests# ./go.sh
<krachlatte> $HOST not defined. Exiting.
<krachlatte> boots up but autotest does not work
<krachlatte> so legacy pig image with 4.9 kernel wirl work
<TRS-80> wirl? :)
<TRS-80> will?
<TRS-80> I guess will by the context
<TRS-80> still, I guess we should try and figure out what's going on with autotest script
<TRS-80> hmm, README for autotests says:
<TRS-80> > edit userconfig/configuration.sh
<TRS-80> but I see no such file in repo?

<TRS-80> krachlatte: For more than a line or so, maybe use a paste service. bpaste.net is pretty good, paste.debian.net is OK, and lane has one running, too (and there are plenty others as well)
<TRS-80> not sure about that error at first, maybe someone else can chime in
<karlp> IgorPec: nanopi neo core derivative.
<karlp> hrm, I think I left out the actual mmc node from my devie tree, taht would probably do it :)
<IgorPec> "derivative" is the problem.
<IgorPec> yes
<karlp> of course, but not noticing the extra patches you have as well
<IgorPec> probably you have your own DT
<karlp> you have rather more patches in your tree than I was expecting :)
<karlp> but I think I've found where you're keeping them all now, so should be a little smoother hopefully.
<karlp> the usb gadget link one is the one I've got no ideas on though, that's really odd.
<IgorPec> you mean that network manager problem?
<karlp> well, IMO, the link should be up as sson as it's the usb cable is connected, that's how it works on desktop/fedora at least.
<IgorPec> this is userland issue imo. here is a mess once you want something that is not standard feature
<karlp> fair enough, it's not strictly armbian I guess.
<karlp> IMO armbian should have g_cdc instead of g_serial by default though on these boards, but that's a different matter :)
<IgorPec> perhaps on this hardware
<IgorPec> others its already a question.
<karlp> about not having g_serial at all?
<IgorPec> no
<IgorPec> our default login methods are
<karlp> IMO if g_serial is a good idea, g_cdc is same, just better, you still get the serial console, you just also get the usb networking.
<IgorPec> serial, usb serial and hdmi
<IgorPec> so that 1st connection is easy. the rest is users job
<IgorPec> usb networking is already very rare functionality.
<IgorPec> rarely used
<karlp> g_cdc still gives you the serial port that g_serial does, it's "free" networking
<karlp> sure, it's not really something I need to push on anyway :)
<IgorPec> i know that there very issues with all this implemenation ... so investing too much into this
<karlp> I think it's rare because people keep ignoring it and saying it's rare :)
<IgorPec> especially on non-mainline kernels
<IgorPec> its always down to the purpose ;)
* nekomancer[m] have to replace usb wifi realtek dongles to others switching to 5.15. rt* driver crashes.
<nekomancer[m]> happily I had some.
<nekomancer[m]> on other rt* chip
