<cloudowind> hello the_oz_ , how have you been
<cloudowind> i wish there was a db for all the available packages for linux , their git and tarball adresses
<the_oz_> I'm ok. Just movin' along.
<the_oz_> you will never get that because it's a fractal splintering new growths like a hydra by design, specifically to create new DB's of repos.
<cloudowind> i will also need another db for thei configuration instructions
<heat_> debian should be pretty complete
<the_oz_> Of which your attempt at a solution is just another hydra
<cloudowind> hmm
<heat_> i use debian's codesearch sometimes, it's pretty good
<heat_> like "is there anyone in FOSS using this really specific API" and very usually the answer is "no"
<cloudowind> i will have a look what i can get from them , m y need is pretty simple , just gits and tarballs to get them with wget in my package manager and then compile instructions in another one , anyway i am in pain as usual again struggling to sit , hello heat by the way you guys have a good one i hope thank you

<the_oz_> maybe golang will help with the way they handle getting repos as dependencies
<the_oz_> a bit of the work will have been done already

<cloudowind> ive got the sources.gz from debian ftps it has got lots of gits and tarball addresses , thank to you both , typing while stading:)
<cloudowind> now will need something that will go these addresses and list all available versions and determine the latest version , will let user to proceed with the latest one , i dont know what will i do for dependencies and dependency resolution , if i follow the archlinux and jut concern with the latest packages all the time then it should make things easier also will need to come up with a way for compiling
<cloudowind> instructions
<cloudowind> searched for the meaning of happiness all through my life , at the end i have realised it is being healthy and having no pain.. is happiness :)

<the_oz_> there's a lot of different forms of happiness
<the_oz_> mouth/nose happy, oxytocin happy, escapism happy, cooperative happy (like helping others when you can)
<the_oz_> delusion happy?
<the_oz_> preparation happy because you avoided needless pain?

<cloudowind> true lots of types of pain , but rational mind always finds a way for those mental pains if the person is healthy and it doesnt last forever
<cloudowind> ad lots of different form of happiness indeed

<zid`> It only took 3 months, but github support replied
<pog> hi zid
hwpplayer1 has quit [Quit: later]
<the_oz_> I only needed to talk to github support once, rebasing a repo to a different root because I started developing llvmpy, but enthought started supporting it and they needed github to actively put the switch on whose repo was root or some shit
