I am playing around with transcoding using vaapi (amd mesa drivers)... I can transcode one thing at a time but if I try to transcode a second thing at the same time the second one fails with "libva: vaGetDriverNames() failed with operation failed"

are AMD GPUs limited to one transcode?

not at the hardware level, but libva drivers for non-intel are always a bit dicey
