man, these orange pis are so sensitive... always weird start up freezes, etc
<tinyweasel>
power has to be 1000% clean, or it will go nuts
<Werner>
Got several OPis. All running fine
<tinyweasel>
weird
<tinyweasel>
maybe it's my microSD card?
<tinyweasel>
I just got one of those mixza cards from aliexpress a while back
<tinyweasel>
they are in fact genuine
<tinyweasel>
*mixza shark
<Werner>
I have sandisks, mostly sandisk extreme. However if you use a proper tool that verifies writing to the sdcard it should be fine
<tinyweasel>
hmm, yeah, I've had bad luck with sandisk USB drives before
<tinyweasel>
I once had logging enabled on one of them that was in use with a hypervisor
<tinyweasel>
eventually it stopped booting when the LVM data got corrupted

IgorPec: i see 5.4.151-odroidxu4 is now available in stable, thx. the memory performance regression on the xu4/hc2 is fixed with 5.4.150+, so this is great
<fizikz>
one small question/observation: how to return fully to a stable version? after switching to nightly to test the fixed kernel, the login splash screen mentioned "Welcome to Armbian 21.11.0-trunk.22 Buster" and "No end-user support: untested automated build". after returning from nightly to stable with armbian-config, that message remains
<fizikz>
so maybe 5.4.151 isn't in stable after all? all i know is i switched from stable to nightly to stable using armbian-config

<lanefu> Fizikz frankly I'd just ignore it
<fizikz>
lanefu: i was ignoring it, but now i wonder if armbian-config switched the system to stable at all. the performance test results show IMAGE_TYPE=nightly and VERSION=21.11.0-trunk.22 http://ix.io/3BtJ
<lanefu>
It may be from the rootfs package
<lanefu>
If you do an apt upgrade now and reboot see what happens
<fizikz>
already done

Does the board work? Who cares what motd is saying honestly? Could just be scripting confusion.
<fizikz>
yes, it works no problems. i just want to be on stable to avoid having nightly break things
