<br0qn> i've got a question: using foot as my terminal, yazi for file manager, and helix as my editor. when i launch a terminal with my keybind, then type yazi, and hit enter on a file, helix opens. however, if i use a keybinding to spawn yazi, then i hit enteron a file, i'm takento vim, not helix. peculiar?

<NickH> Envrionment variables etc likely different. I'd suggest investigating how your file manager determines what editor to use.

<gera> Hi. I'm failing to build river with zig 0.14.0
<gera> /usr/lib64/zig/0.14.0/lib/std/mem.zig:2422:19: error: deprecated; use splitSequence, splitAny, or splitScalar
<gera> pub const split = @compileError("deprecated; use splitSequence, splitAny, or splitScalar");
<gera> Should I be using some other version?
<LarstiQ> gera: iirc the 0.3.x branch should build with zig 0.14.0
<LarstiQ> master and rwm will stay on 0.13.0 till rwm is merged (again, I think)
<LarstiQ> gera: so which version are you trying to build?
<gera> master
<LarstiQ> right, use 0.13.0 then
<LarstiQ> (or well, 0.13.x)

<gera> Anybody had this problem when cursor disappears over wine programs?
<gera> wine is using x11 backend so I guess it's running in xwayland
<flower_> if you resize a floating window, you see a black surface, refreshing not optimal? Not sure how this is in sway or dwl.
<flower_> I noticed cause I read some into info about vsync in sdl
<flower_> black surface / black area / black border

<AJ91> hello all!
<AJ91> I am starting with river and migrating my config
<AJ91> I was wondering:
notchoc has quit [Ping timeout: 244 seconds]
<AJ91> How can I programatically (i.e. with a command like riverctl) focus a specific window (e.g. with a given app-id and title)?

<leon-p> AJ91: you can't right now, unfortunately
<vyivel> AJ91: wlrctl toplevel focus app_id:"..."
<leon-p> will not work
<leon-p> at least not unless the window is already visisble anyway
<vyivel> sounds like a river bug

<dmcblue> Hi, this may be a very obvious thing but I haven't been able to figure it out from the documentation. I'd like to change the view relative to the current view. For example, using the base init https://github.com/riverwm/river/blob/8490558b8b416c91060c6c858d28696a4dac38f9/example/init#L77-L92 I press <MOD 2> to switch from view 1 to 2. I'd like to
<dmcblue> press <MOD RIGHT-ARROW> to go from 1 to 2, and so on, preferably cycling back from 9 to 1. I can't see a way on the man page to get the current focused-tags/view-tags index in order to programatically update it from the current value.
