<ifreund> Wow, I wonder what on earth fish is doing to make this happen: https://github.com/riverwm/river/issues/1016
<dnkl> strace...
<ifreund> I haven't tried to reproduce it yet... will get around to it in a couple days but yeah strace is probably a good idea

<lordmzte> I can't seem to get tapping working for my touch pad. After running `riverctl input '*' tap enabled`, as well as `riverctl input '*' tap-button-map left-right middle` and `riverctl input '*' click-method clickfinger`, tapping still doesnt work.
<lordmzte> I'm running a somewhat outdated version of master river, upgrade is in progress...

<JustineSmithies> novakane: Just discovered river-bedload and it's absolutely perfect. Just what I was looking for to get information for tring to use Eww with river. Thank you so much for sharing this.
<novakane> JustineSmithies: glad you like it :)
<novakane> feel free to ask for more info or different format I haven't use it a lot yet so there some things that could be improved maybe
<lordmzte> What's river-bedload?
<JustineSmithies> lordmzte: https://git.sr.ht/~novakane/river-bedload
<lordmzte> I don't quite see the use case.
<JustineSmithies> novakane: It looks perfect for my needs only thing missing for me isn't implemented in River yet anyway and that's keyboard language status.
<novakane> I really need to write the man page some day too
<JustineSmithies> I could use it to script my own tag ( workspace ) script so I could use Eww to be my bar is one example.
<novakane> JustineSmithies: yeah every info from river should be here afaik
<novakane> lordmzte: scripting for a bar for example for someone that don't want to write a full wayland client for that
<lordmzte> oh I see. I'm the kind of person who would write a full WL client for that
<novakane> well I'm the kind who did both xD

<lordmzte> I have some numpad key events coming from a virtual uinput device, but despite numlock (probably? I have no LED on my keyboard but there are LED evdev events) being enabled, they're being mapped like numlock is off. for some context, I'm using this thing for my exotic hardware: https://github.com/iamkroot/asus-numpad
