heh, i'd need to start looking first. btw, will the transaction system need a rewrite with the wm protocol, or is it mostly ready for that?

tiosgz: it's a lot closer to being ready for that than it was before I rewrote it while switching to the scene graph

the control flow is pretty much ideal now I think, except for the fact that I neglected to integrate outputs fully

I don't think wlroots had the API needed back then anyways... but we should only modeset/enable/disable outputs as part of the transaction systems ideally

the status quo is confusing, ugly, and bug prone

wlroots 0.18.0 will support atomic state changes across all output at once which will be very nice as well
