does river have a scratchpad feature?
<
leon-p>
no, but you can kinda emulate it. check the wiki on github
<
ifreund>
actually, I just noticed that someone deleted that page on the wike
<
ifreund>
I restored it now
<
ifreund>
I personally don't use the "scratchpad" scripting stuff that is there though and don't think it's the best UX
<
leon-p>
huh. I used to monitor the wiki for bad edits, but eventually githubs news ticker thing became useless so i stopped
<
ifreund>
at somepoint like a year ago it was nothing but spam so I cut it out of my life
<
ifreund>
once we move to codeberg I plan to have the wiki in a separate repo and use a PR based workflow
<
leon-p>
sounds good

and give you and anyone else I know who wants it commit access
<
leon-p>
FWIW there are ublock rules to improve the github newsticker, but they change it often so I never bothered
<
ifreund>
I just unchecked all the boxes to make it empty
<
ifreund>
it's better for my brain to not see things there anyway
<
ifreund>
look at that, over 1000 issues and PRs
<
ifreund>
Nearly 4 years since my initial commit too
<
waleee>
heh github's wikis doesn't support pr-based updates?
<
waleee>
I assumed they would based upon that they're git clone'able

nope, your options are either everyone in the world can edit it or only you can
<
gaav>
is it possible to get a fake full screen effect in river?
<
NickH>
What does "fake full screen effect" mean?
<
gaav>
for example, running a video in fullscreen on browser, but the windows acts normal and can float or be moves
<
waleee>
ah, to fullscreen the window inside the area it currently occupies
<
NickH>
Not that I'm aware of
<
waleee>
I'm only aware of it being a thing in dwm with a patch
<
waleee>
didn't look like the patch existed for dwl
