Hi. How do I set environment variables conditionally if either river or an x11 wm is being used. I tried .profile, but it seems WAYLAND_DISPLAY is not set yet when it is executed, so I can't check if either wayland or x is used

I don't think river has a way to inject environment variables into an already running instance, meaning you have to set them before starting river

you can enforce it by explicitly executing `sh --login river` instead of just `river`
