> <@rz_mj:freiburg.social> Yes, the tiling is very different. Tiling in bspwm is similar to sway and i3. There are large differences between those and bspwm, but from a river users perspective, they are similar by having a tree of containers aka nodes.

So, coming from bspwm, there is no real 1:1 equivalent in Wayland ?
<GatanLepage[m]>
It would make more sense to use sway ?
<RZ_MJ[m]>
If you want to reproduce the tiling of bspwm with wayland, the closest I know is sway combined with this: https://github.com/nwg-piotr/autotiling

It is not 1:1 equivalent either and will be configured differently than bspwm+sxhkd obviously, but once it is configured, this will probably achieve the most similar result.

Of course, I might be unaware of another option.

Hi guys
<Kari>
Is there a way I can set windows to open on certain tags every time?
<Kari>
Also, is there an easy way to get a window's app id?
