< rcurtin>
so that the benchmarks run when a PR is submitted?
< rcurtin>
I think that should be easy, doesn't Jenkins have all the integration and we just need to set up a webhook?
< zoq>
yeah I think so, not sure if it's a good idea, to just start a benchmark before checking the code. I think what you could do is to make a comment "jenkins test this" to actually build the code.

PR #836 is from North Korean students, I am looking forward to see if we can merge it, then we can say "mlpack is also developed in North Korea"
< zoq>
Oh, how did you figured that out? Isn't arirang-pust a pseudonym for mike?
< rcurtin>
yeah, Mike Izbicki is the one who submitted the PR, but he volunteers at the Pyongyang University of Science and Technology (PUST) and his students this semester made these changes
< zoq>
ah nice :)
< rcurtin>
I've been talking to him through email on and off through the semester, but he had to submit the PR because the north korean students mostly don't have internet access
< zoq>
wow, can't imagine how hard that must be
< rcurtin>
yeah, it seems like it is very difficult for the students, to write any code at all without stable internet access
< rcurtin>
I think one of the things Mike has pushed for as an instructor is better internet access for the students
< zoq>
that's great
< rcurtin>
yeah, I think pushing for internet access in north korea is a really good thing, even if it's just for some engineering university students
< zoq>
Absolutely, I think pushing for internet access is always a great idea.
< sumedhghaisas__>
rcurtin: :) I have no idea how do they survive without internet
< rcurtin>
I guess that since they have never known it, they aren't aware of what they don't have
< sumedhghaisas__>
hmmm... in that case how did they even code? my god... how did they learn c++?
< rcurtin>
yeah, I am not sure, I guess through books only
