<arno11>
Wizzup: crazy thing: if omap_ssi and cmt_speech are loaded on boot using /etc/modules (and no other method), and if daemon.conf is modified with 4000hz stuff and if you package libcmtspeechdata with my PR, GSM and 3G calls are working OOTB !
<arno11>
with chimaera devel of course
maxwelld has left #maemo-leste [Error from remote client]
<arno11>
no more ofono or sphone crash
<Wizzup>
arno11: interesting...
<Wizzup>
great find, so are they loaded earlier in the boot process that way or something?
<Wizzup>
we will still need libcmtspeechdata to run on boot of course
<arno11>
yes indeed
<arno11>
seems the 2 modules are loaded earlier, yes
<arno11>
so no crash

I can modify leste config for this in a bit, lemme wake up & grab some coffee first
<Wizzup>
that's really good news
<Wizzup>
so no nokia-modem blacklist?
<arno11>
lol ok for coffee. and yes no more nokia modem blacklist :)
<arno11>
the question is how to load cmt_pulse on boot ? (needs sudo and nice -10)
<Wizzup>
I'll do that, it's easy
<Wizzup>
we will just make an init scirpt
<arno11>
ok cool

arno11: if I write an init script for you, can you tes tit?
<Wizzup>
test it*
<Wizzup>
if so, please confirm how you start cmt speech normally
<arno11>
yes i can test it

<arno11>
so to start cmtspeech:
<arno11>
sudo nice -n -10 ./cmt_pulse
peterM has joined #maemo-leste
<arno11>
but depending to the path of cmtspeech
<arno11>
let me check
<Wizzup>
I think the package will install it into path somewhere
<Wizzup>
but you use cmt_pulse - ok :)
<Wizzup>
if the nice necessary btw?
<Wizzup>
arno11: path should not matter as the pkg is installed somewhere where searching $PATH will find it
<arno11>
oh ok. just in case that's simply /usr/bin
<arno11>
the nice is necessary
<arno11>
(cmt_pulse is the only way to get sound both ways)
<Wizzup>
ok
<sicelo>
arno11: IR - no, but the little research i did back then pointed at timer issues. that's where you could start
<arno11>
ok tyvm
pere has quit [Ping timeout: 252 seconds]
<sicelo>
but yes i'd like to get it working too
<sicelo>
the biggest problem was that sending an IR packet caused an instant oops, so it was never possible to see any log, etc.
