Wizzup: i want to fix sphones usage of rtcomm
<
uvos__>
but really cant as i have no way of knowing how things are supposed to work
<
uvos__>
could you maybe copy your freemantle database, delete all but a few representative events (maybe also fudge the nummbers for privacy)?
<
uvos__>
and give that to me?

<
Wizzup>
uvos__: yes I can, I did the same for dsc
<
Wizzup>
(a bit later today though)
<
maxwelld>
what was the way to choose default browser?
<
uvos__>
Wizzup: thanks
<
uvos__>
maxwelld: we (mostly, legacy mameo applications exlcuded) use mimeapps.list as any linux distro
<
uvos__>
we dont have a special editor
<
maxwelld>
what should i type?
<
uvos__>
but any application that edits mimeapps.list or manual editing of mimeapps.list should work
<
maxwelld>
i am trying to open a link
<
maxwelld>
from dino, i uninstalled firefox because
<
uvos__>
should be ~/.config/mimeapps.list or /etc/xdg/mimeapps.list
<
uvos__>
or maybe in share
<
maxwelld>
firefox would start in 5 minutes
<
Wizzup>
uvos__: after the news post I will also pick up the work on the sf tp module for sphone, so the rtcomm work will help there
<
Wizzup>
one feature request I have is to limit the amont of recent calls entries to the last 100 or so not the whole db
<
Wizzup>
I have a db with history going back to 2010 or so, and it takes like more than half a minute if I press 'recent'
<
uvos__>
half a minute
<
uvos__>
thats not so bad
<
uvos__>
yeah something is needed
<
maxwelld>
update-alternatives --config x-www-browser
<
maxwelld>
but it doesnt list any browser

Wizzup: i see only one (main) pulse process using ps aux :)
<
arno11>
the other (user) one was the ps process 'greping' pulse... :D
<
arno11>
so for SIP calls i think it's ok as is.
<
arno11>
but for gsm calls still this weird 50% xorg cpu usage
<
Wizzup>
can this be simulated without actually making a call?
<
arno11>
i think not
<
arno11>
i tried with pa_test in cmtspeech but no issue
<
arno11>
probably because it is not communicating with modem

btw do you have 2g working on n900 in US ? because if you call yourself it should be possible to see the xorg stuff
