<buZz> ah, rtcom-accounts-ui depends on libgdk-pixbuf-2.0-0 , but the package is called libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 , without one -
<buZz> ahhh and libgdk-pixbuf-2.0-0 -also- exists on chimaera
<buZz> gee

<arno11> Wizzup: about n900 hw accel issue same problem with img from 20221225
<arno11> and even from 20221015
Twig has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
<Wizzup> arno11: ok, thanks, which one did work for you?
<arno11> an old one can't remember
<arno11> tomorrow i'll try older ones
<arno11> to find when the issue occured
<Wizzup> thank you
<arno11> Excepting hw accel and browsers, everything else works fine
<arno11> on n900 with few tweaks
<arno11> on last stable builds
<Wizzup> ok
<Wizzup> what are the tweaks?
<arno11> killing pulseaudio help a lot
<arno11> tweaking transitions.ini as well
<arno11> using cpufreq governors too
<arno11> in audio or video apps, using only alsa works fine
<arno11> no audio glitch
<arno11> video smoother
<Wizzup> hm, but you need pulseaudio for audio
<Wizzup> it should not use any cpu when it's not active
<Wizzup> what governor did you switch to?
<arno11> governors: performance or conservative
<arno11> audio works fine without pulseaudio
<arno11> just need to setup apps to use alsa only
<arno11> for example in smplayer or audacious
<Wizzup> well, many things won't work, so we'll have to see what the perceived problems in PA are
<Wizzup> (like the volume applet, calls audio, etc)
<arno11> indeed
<Wizzup> any system sounds from maemo
<arno11> i remember similar issues with PA in ubuntu
<arno11> and in volumio with lot of cpu usage for no reason
<arno11> in volumio it was a resampling issue
<Wizzup> fremantle pa also uses cpu when audio is busy, but yeah :)
<Wizzup> maybe with pipewire it will get better
<arno11> oh i forgot there are few errors on boot with PA
<Wizzup> ok
<Wizzup> (stuck in work mtg, but can check sunday or monday on my n900)
<arno11> ok many thx

<uvos> buZz: sphone bug should be fixed
<uvos> as soon as ci finishes building anyhow
<buZz> w00p
<nela> hello, the 11th I switched to the beowulf-devel on the n900 and ran an update and upgrade; after a reboot xorg? (I think?) seemingly broke which made me wonder how would I go about debugging? there's no f2 key so I can't just switch to a tty I don't think should I chroot in or is there some other way?
<buZz> there's a uart near the battery compartment iirc, but requires a pogopin jig
<uvos> nela: unfotionatly on n900 its hard
<buZz> good point, i should get those produced :P
<uvos> you can move /etc/init.d/dsme somewhere else and get a shell
<uvos> nela: most usefull thing you can do is presumably shutdown via holding the powerbutton (light should light up inidicateing shutdown)
<uvos> and then pull the logs out (esp xorgs log) via sdcard reader
<uvos> Wizzup is also trying the image soon, it seams very broken atm
<nela> hmm, I wonder if there's a way to either get a keyboard layer with f keys or rebind the tty switch to some either key combo
<uvos> no
<uvos> impossible since those would have to be real keys for the kernel to care
<buZz> maybe just start with a older image :)
<buZz> oh, you did
<uvos> vt switching happens at kernel level before input transformation via xcb and so on happens
<uvos> so you cant rebind them
<buZz> would a external usb keyboard work for that?
<uvos> yes but n900
<uvos> no otg
<buZz> oh
<uvos> on d4 sure
<buZz> kinda cool
<uvos> Wizzup: buZz: wrt modem dissapering
<uvos> i dont see it, and i rememberd that i have phy_cpcpap_usb blacklisted
<uvos> this may be the difference
<buZz> what does that module do?
<uvos> otg
<Wizzup> sounds like this might be the reason, I can definitely test this relatively quickly
<Wizzup> (well, not tonight)
<uvos> also it wasets some power
<Wizzup> but I can reproduce it quickly usually
<buZz> yeah i suspect otg related stuff too, my log i posted somewhere showed endless usb gadgetmode switching
gliffy has quit [Quit: Leaving]
<Wizzup> that's unrelated I think
<Wizzup> as in this only happens on battery full
<Wizzup> (the switching)
<Wizzup> and we have fixes for it in freemangordon's wip tsuff
<buZz> cool :)
<buZz> you guys have any idea on ; 13:35:02 < buZz> libpolkit-gobject-elogind-1-0 : Conflicts: libpam-ck-connector but 1.2.1-8 is to be installed
<buZz> i was trying a upgrade to chimaera
<nela> the Xorg log did not get overwritten after sunday which probably means the issue is not that, I am chrooted in and I will try running another update and upgrade
<uvos> nela: maybe upgrade to devel
<uvos> see if the issue is there too
<buZz> thats what caused it :P
<uvos> no i think a regular upgrade caused it
<uvos> iiuc
<buZz> 00:02:22 < nela> hello, the 11th I switched to the beowulf-devel
<uvos> ah iduc
<buZz> :)
<uvos> thats somewhat wierd
<uvos> since i had someone upgrade to expiramental recently
<uvos> and that worked
<uvos> and nothing changeed aifaik
<uvos> buZz: btw
<uvos> user sphone.ini moved to .config/sphone
<uvos> so if you have comtest disabled it will enable again
<uvos> but should be no issue now anyhow
<nela> The following packages have been kept back: hildon-meta
<uvos> bad
<uvos> why
<nela> The following packages have unmet dependencies: hildon-meta : Depends: hildon-connectivity-rtcom but it is not going to be installed
<nela> The following packages have unmet dependencies:
<nela> hildon-connectivity-rtcom : Depends: rtcom-presence-ui but it is not going to be installed Depends: rtcom-accounts-ui but it is not going to be installed Depends: rtcom-accounts-plugins but it is not going to be installed Depends: sphone but it is not going to be installed
<uvos> continue following it
<uvos> theres also a flag for debugging this
<uvos> but i forget
<buZz> yeah i have the same issue on beowulf
<buZz> rtcom-accounts-ui seems to depend on libgdk-pixbuf-2.0-0 , but beowolf only has libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0
