<freemangordon>
maybe there is more, but you'll figure it out
<uvos__>
looks like you CAN make it tell mce to do the patterns
<uvos__>
but only if you set the hint
<uvos__>
reall it should probubly do that for every persistant notification
<uvos__>
in some that is trigger the misc pattern
<uvos__>
*that is trigger the misc pattern
<freemangordon>
not really, as we have different notifications for different events
<uvos__>
sure
<uvos__>
but all the other events should use misc imo
<freemangordon>
ah
<uvos__>
ie if they dont set
<uvos__>
so that deskotp applications get some kind of light
<freemangordon>
but, can we control those?
<uvos__>
not sure what you mean
<freemangordon>
like, in profile?
<freemangordon>
'stock' notifications can be controlled
<uvos__>
sure mce wont show it
<uvos__>
thats mce
<uvos__>
you can disabled them via its interface
<freemangordon>
do we have UI
<uvos__>
and thats what the system dose
<uvos__>
right the ui tels mce to not show it
<uvos__>
this works for misc
<freemangordon>
ok, it is "Notification loght"
<freemangordon>
and there is "Other"
<uvos__>
right
<freemangordon>
so I got my answer
<uvos__>
(imo making mce ignore the pattern activation call is the wrong way)
<uvos__>
(bit thats an architecture problem, not functionality)
<freemangordon>
sorry, I am on a different page :)
<uvos__>
ok :)
<freemangordon>
(pvr/sgx)
<uvos__>
great :)
<freemangordon>
yeah, tryong to get HW compositing to work
<freemangordon>
*trying
<uvos__>
that would be really neat
<uvos__>
hildon being so damn slow is why i often use sway
<freemangordon>
it will start flying in couple of days

alas droid3 is not dual boot. only droid4.
<Wizzup>
yes, it currently is not
<buZz>
doesnt droid3 use kexecboot?

<uvos>
yes and the people preceding me are wrong
<uvos>
installing kexecboot breaks stock android on d3 (and bionic) that dosent prevent you from dual booting android by having los on the sdcard
<uvos>
or on emtstorage
<uvos>
however due to the way installing los works
<uvos>
you have to install it to the sdcard/emtstorage before installing kexecboot
<uvos>
or go though an annoying manual procedure
<buZz>
or booting several different distros, i guess

yeah it does but doesn't boot to android. on droid4 i do photos with android, then mount the partition from maemo and process those with imagemagick.

freemangordon: the Xv work - does it benefit wayland?
<freemangordon>
no

<uvos>
norayr: your usecase would work fine on d3 if you
<uvos>
1. flash everything back to stock android, removeing leste, kexecboot 2. install safestrap 3. install los on some safestrap slot other than slot 1 4. install kexecboot + leste again 5. add a entry to boot.cfg for the slot you want to boot as seen here: https://github.com/tmlind/droid4-kexecboot/blob/master/CONFIGURATION
<uvos>
then you would have working android + leste on d3
<uvos>
well "working leste"
<uvos>
not that leste really works on d3 in a practical capacity
