Hi, I've discovered that foot interprets #000000~000007 as color0~7. How can I get 'actual' #000000 in this case? (My emacs theme sets bg colour to #000000)

sefidel: that question doesn't really make any sense. What I think is happening is you're using an old version of emacs that doesn't do truecolor out of the box on foot, and falls back to using the terminfo capabilities to set colors. These work the way you explain, just like they do in e.g xterm's terminfo.

dnkl: Huh, weird. I thought Emacs 28.2 should acknowledge the `colorterm` variable set by foot. It does seem to do something, as I seem to have approx. 570 colors from `M-x list-colors-display`.

I've followed the 'Only 8 colors in Emacs` section to set the term-file-alias.
