<ppetrov^> hi guys, is there a tool or a option to pass to prt-get in order to check whether something installed has an unsatisfied dependency?
<ppetrov^> i mean on a 'global scale', not for a specific package
<SiFuh_> I use something like this
<SiFuh_> for i in $(prt-get listinst); do prt-get depends --all "${i}" |grep "\[\ " ;done
<SiFuh_> But I didn't verify it because my system is down
<ppetrov^> thanks SiFuh_

<farkuhar> ppetrov^: after the latest poppler update, the straightforward sed substitution http://ix.io/3U2D is not enough to get inkscape compiling cleanly. I'll do some more research to see if there's another alternative to building a customized poppler as a preliminary stage in the inkscape installation.
<ppetrov^> thanks farkuhar, for now i am using my workaround, because I am tired of figuring out ways to make inkscape work after each poppler update
<ppetrov^> if CRUX moved at a slower pace, then I would do this, but messing with inkscape every month is not something i intent to do
<jaeger> inkscape breaking with every single poppler change is indeed extremely frustrating
<ppetrov^> couldn't they just in-build a certain version and get it over with...
<jue> .. or better use the stable cpp or glib API of poppler instead of the internal private interface which changes indeed very often
