17:47 <farkuhar> At least in the case of pulseaudio, the binaries and libraries for the daemon don't take up that much space, so there's no harm in installing beerman's port even if all you want is the client library. Just don't add pulseaudio to the SERVICES array in /etc/rc.conf and you can ignore that the daemon is even installed.
