<SiFuh> ppetrov^: farkuhar: remiliascarlet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1GtmF7zqgC4 That's some funny shit there.
<SiFuh> remiliascarlet: I saw a stupid video a few hours ago. A black person is at the doctors and had an ultrasound and realised they were pregnant. She asks the doctor. "How can I be pregnant. I am a man, a gay man" The doctor looks at her and asks "Are you sure you are a man?" then walks out to get another doctor.
<ppetrov^> the fuck, SiFuh
<SiFuh> I agree with the deport the family

<remiliascarlet> SiFuh: Want to know how tech literate the minister of cybersecurity is?
<remiliascarlet> He said 「USBが何かよくわかりません」, which translates to "I don't really know what a USB is".
<remiliascarlet> And this is who's in charge of cybersecurity in Japan...

<SiFuh> remiliascarlet: Audio crashed. Couldn't figure out how to get it back so rebooted in the end.
<farkuhar> No zorz today? I was hoping for an Arch user who could comment on the fact that you can get multiple packages out of a single PKGBUILD, a feat we cannot do with CRUX Pkgfiles. For example, it would be nice to package the pulseaudio client libraries separately from the server, as Arch does with its libpulse package (sharing a PKGBUILD in common with pulseaudio).
<SiFuh> You mean in one port make multiple packages rather than one port make one part of a package?
<farkuhar> SiFuh: Yes, one port makes multiple packages, as seen here. https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/packaging/packages/pulseaudio/-/blob/main/PKGBUILD?ref_type=heads
<SiFuh> farkuhar: Didn't need to see. Just clarifying ;-)
<SiFuh> And I don't know what zorz is up to.
<SiFuh> Maybe upset because Obama told Biden he should run again because Kamala sucks.
<SiFuh> farkuhar: OpenBSD has this feature
<SiFuh> If you compile the src ports it will build all of the packages like emacs-gtk3 emacks-gtk2 emacs emacs-no_x11
<farkuhar> It's convenient to have the ability to separate the individual files created after `./configure && make`. The CRUX tooling seems to require two separate invocations of `./configure && make`, and then a selective pruning of the tree populated by `make DESTDIR=$PKG install`.
<SiFuh> We have a flavour (flavor because you guys can't afford to spell) where we can specify in the mk.conf file only *-no_x11 options
<SiFuh> FLAVORS*
<farkuhar> At least in the case of pulseaudio, the binaries and libraries for the daemon don't take up that much space, so there's no harm in installing beerman's port even if all you want is the client library. Just don't add pulseaudio to the SERVICES array in /etc/rc.conf and you can ignore that the daemon is even installed.
