<remiliascarlet>
zorz: Windows 95 was DOS, not NT.
<remiliascarlet>
SiFuh: "How can anyone HATE BSD because of some clown from Arch Linux?" People who hate BSD have never used it, or can't use it because all the Electron crap they rely so heavily on doesn't exist on the BSD's. But sometimes the hate can be understandable, but that's only because of a tiny portion of its userbase, not because of the OS itself.
<remiliascarlet>
SiFuh: I don't use the backticks because it's so far away from the left Shift key.
<remiliascarlet>
And tilde is this one: ~
<remiliascarlet>
Oh, and compilers for quite a number of programming languages aren't available for the BSDs either, like Swift for example.
<remiliascarlet>
So as soon as Ladybird gets converted from C++ to Swift, making a port for the BSD's will be rendered impossible, unless the Swift compiler gets ported over as well.
<zorz>
remiliascarlet: both of them DoS
<remiliascarlet>
Wrong.
<remiliascarlet>
NT was written from the ground up back in the 90's.
<remiliascarlet>
Microsoft bought a DOS license to further develop based off of it in the 80's, after having dumped their Unix-like OS back in the 70's.
<zorz>
okay
<zorz>
but NT had DOS :)
<remiliascarlet>
It didn't.
<remiliascarlet>
NT has similar commands/programs, and the root is C:, but it's like saying the Linux or Minix are Unix because those have similar commands/programs, and the root is /.
<remiliascarlet>
s/saying the/saying that
<remiliascarlet>
And same with Haiku, which isn't Unix at all, it's a re-creation of BeOS.
<zorz>

Watching the weather and the flood levels because it is monsoon season and there are many alerts
<SiFuh>
If Malaysia had mountains on the eastern coast, it would flood a lot less but it has mountains on the west coast
<SiFuh>
So it causes flooding throughout the penisular a lot
<SiFuh>
Hahahahaha, our ceiling pump doesn't work most of the time. I took a shower just now and she asked how come the water is coming out so fast and strong. I said I turned the shower pump on. Should have seen the face. She slaps her knee and says "There is! I am so stupid. I've been using the bucket of water. How stupid am I."
<zorz>
HAHAHA

Different cultures have different norms with respect to verbosity and redundancy in written communication. Even if we cannot infer from uwumeowmeownyaa's IP that he/she is Russian, at least from the style of writing we can detect the influence of a culture different from what we're used to.
