<SiFuh_>
Basically you can't get off unless you get into that space. There for you are boxed in.
<SiFuh_>
The English is very bad.
<SiFuh_>
Therefore*
<SiFuh_>
Problem with countries that don't speak English as a national language they tend to use too many words for something simple
<SiFuh_>
I'd have enter | exit | enter
<SiFuh_>
And if needed to be strict, I'd say ENTER ONLY | EXIT ONLY | ENTER ONLY
<remiliascarlet>
I thought the "getting off" part would be funnier.
<SiFuh_>
But you'd think in this day and age they'd design trains where you enter from one door but exit from another.
<remiliascarlet>
2 enters wouldn't work, because 2 different train lines arrive at the same platform.
<SiFuh_>
Like they do with some Monorails.
<remiliascarlet>
So people going on the Musashino line have to queue at the orange space, and those on the Keiyo line queue at the red space.
<SiFuh_>
Here they have just an arrow. Showing you can enter from left and right of the door but exit is through the middle.
<SiFuh_>
I see
<SiFuh_>
In KLIA (The airport) there platforms are the same. The train pops up out of the ground. Everyone exits from the outside. Everyone enters between the trains.
<remiliascarlet>
You mean like there are platforms on 2 sides, people go out on one side, and in on the other side.
<remiliascarlet>
*?
<SiFuh_>
Yes but the platforms are joined
<SiFuh_>
You can walk a figure of 8 pattern around them.
<remiliascarlet>
Looks fancier than the one at Ikebukuro station (the Tobu part).
<SiFuh_>
Train pops up out of the ground and stops. Doors outisde open and everyone leaves. Then door inside the centre open and people can enter. Both trains head the same way and stop the same way. Just run in parrallel
<SiFuh_>
The one that makes me want to punch people is when the Elevator stops and there are cunts trying to enter before anyone can exit. How fucking stupid!
<SiFuh_>
I always say "High IQ society here" as I walk pass them
<SiFuh_>
remiliascarlet: My favorite is to step out the elevator the second the door opens and stand directly in front of the morons and wait for them to step aside.
<SiFuh_>
I can only remember one time it was in Malaysia about maybe 10 years ago a guy got frustrated and went to shove me to the side and I pushed him so hard he hit the wall on the other side of the elevator hall.
<SiFuh_>
I had 5 Indians with me and they all yelled at him
<SiFuh_>
I had already walked off down the hall and I could hear Tamil language that was quite impolite at him. He had head phones on. He also missed then elevator they said because they blocked him from entering. I said that wasn't nice, and they laughed
<SiFuh_>
Hitting the other wall and landing on your ass I thought was enough. But not the Tamil Indians. They wanted him to be punished and have to wait again.
<SiFuh_>
Dude was a Chinese I think.
<ppetrov^>
does boost build for you?
<SiFuh_>
For me, I think the last time I built boost was 2 years ago.

ppetrov^: it needs a patch when python3-numpy is installed. That particular PR was marked "merged" but somehow didn't make it into the 1.86.0 tarball.
<farkuhar>
zorz still hasn't fixed his Internet? I just gave him the perfect setup for one of his rants about python3-numpy, and he's not here to take advantage of it.
<ppetrov^>
farkuhar, anything i need to do for the port?
<ppetrov^>
who's the maintainer?
<ppetrov^>
+ prt-get isinst python3-numpy
<ppetrov^>
package python3-numpy is not installed
<ppetrov^>
ok, build is fine
<ppetrov^>
the fucjk
<ppetrov^>
such a sloppy work
<SiFuh_>
ppetrov^: I thought the maintainer was farkuhar
<ppetrov^>
with all due respect farkuhar ....
<SiFuh_>
and python3-numpy was under optional
<ppetrov^>
yes and build breaks if present
<ppetrov^>
so fuck that
<ppetrov^>
pfffffffff
<ppetrov^>
my apologies guys, i am just really tired
<ppetrov^>
no hard feelings
<farkuhar>
ppetrov^: no problem.
<SiFuh_>
Just blame beerman ;-)
<farkuhar>
There were two patches for our port of boost 1.85, and the first one did get merged into the 1.86 tarball. I forgot to check whether the second patch (for python3-numpy) was also merged, and ended up dropping both of them from the ports tree.
<farkuhar>
So I'll push the updated port in a few minutes. It's probably okay to keep release=1, because anyone who got a successful build (without python3-numpy present) will not want to waste time compiling it again.
<farkuhar>
Good thing there's no breakage associated with a different gcc version. If boost failed to build with gcc 14 (the version we'll ship with CRUX 3.8), then I'd have to commit more patches to the ports tree.
<ppetrov^>
farkuhar, is the new GCC expected to cause a lot of breakage?
<farkuhar>
PR#432 just demonstrates how untrustworthy the "Merged" label is, when quickly skimming a Github PR. The branch that gets the merge might be different from the branch they use to generate the tarball.
<ppetrov^>
hm, probably i should not participate in any conversation today... i am so tired i cannot think. Just hjaving a beer and that's OK. latez

<farkuhar>
ppetrov^: so far I haven't found too many ports that break with the newer GCC. There are a few, though.

It would be interesting if inkscape 1.4 crashing at startup could be traced to gcc 14, rather than to musl versus glibc. The easiest test would be to downgrade gcc on one of my CRUX-musl systems, recompile inkscape 1.4, and see if it still crashes at startup.
<SiFuh_>
Thought you mentioned other OS's with the same issue

zorz should have been here to criticize numpy for needlessly changing its API.
<SiFuh_>
You have friends zorz?
<zorz>
SiFuh_: hahaha
<SiFuh_>
How much do you pay them a month?
<zorz>
what numpy changed api? long time to use numpy.
<zorz>
farkuhar: you know if a spend 2-3 hours with pip2crux, its easy to add autoremove the dependancies with pkgrm since i read the Pkgfiles in /usr/ports/python
<farkuhar>
zorz: your link goes to Artix, which is a fork of Arch. If you want to make a claim about the way ArchLinux builds things, why not link directly to the AUR?
<zorz>
farkuhar: right now i am using artix, because i run hashcat on my gpu with rocm-opencl-runtime. i installed pip and with pip numpy to check how it installes without lapac blas https://0x0.st/XlN3.txt
<farkuhar>
zorz: did you install hashcat in order to ensure a reliable supply of status reports with which to spam the channel? As if you didn't have enough inane material of your own to post?
<zorz>
hahahhaha
<zorz>
man hashcat running on gpu, great performance improvement... but for amd needs rocm
<SiFuh_>
zorz: create a new channel #crux-lavaball
<zorz>
same mask, gpu is 10 minutes and cpu pocl of debian is 18 hours on the same file.

I don't want to learn a language that sounds like liquid shit
<zorz>
farkuhar: check this https://codeberg.org/zorz/crux/src/branch/main/tor it works great gives you full anonimity on the fly. just live open irc before you run it cause its a mess to connect to liberachat through tor.
<zorz>
when crux i do rccrl start iptunnel and then i start pnscan or nmap:P
