<shivasiddharth> And if that doesn't work i'l use a different distro
<DC-IRC>
<viraniac> Distro is not your problem, as most of the userspace is just debian or ubuntu. The problem is more with you not trying to troubleshoot any error messages that you encounter. No matter what distro you use, you will face issues at some point or another. You need to dig into the output and troubleshoot the issue

<c0rnelius77> Sometimes it is a consequence of that package not being available on the current release. For example, for whatever reason `gpac` isn't available on Bookworm, which left me with one option for one of my setups, if I wanted to use Bookworm. Build the debs my self. So I would look into, what is the missing package or packages.

<viraniac> Yes, also sometimes packages are just renamed and can be installed either manually or by modification of the script assuming Sid is using a script. In both cases, troubleshooting will be required. Just asking in a forum with a redacted message like its because of missing package is not going to help anyone. The user should try to troubleshoot what is reported missing or when aski <clipped message>
<DC-IRC>
<viraniac> ng for help share the package names that is missing. Also when asking for help, it generally improves the chances of getting help by telling what things the user tried to solve the issue themselves. That will show that user did try to solve it themselves, and not straightforwardly went looking for help.
