<Nardol> Hello, Thank igorpec and lanefu now it looks like dotsrc is up to date for everything except apt, since images are now up to date I think I'm going to use rsync.armbian.com again to be able to sync apt and have my mirror fully updated
<DC-IRC>
<Nardol> Oups, a little is still missing for images but things are syncing and progress is visible :)

<igorpec> dotsrc is source for few others too, but we are slowly getting there. We need to improve this process for future
<DC-IRC>
<igorpec> also apt repo should be ready with latest packages

<Nardol> @igorpec OK, so my mirror is now synced, using rsync.armbian.com and I seen apt is also OK so I confirm apt looks ready with latest packages :)
<DC-IRC>
<igorpec> ok, which is your mirror, let me add it

I'm really surprised, how well the OPi5+ serves as desktop-computer. Even with 3x 4k displays it's (almost) useable. (Firefox is sometimes a bit bitchy)
<archetech>
and it hasnt even got the full gpu power yet
<archetech>
not even half
<Treibholz>
archetech: I installed ppa for mesa and rockchip-multimedia, so I could get sway running. I try to avoid X when ever possible since a while now...
<Treibholz>
the packages work on bookworm, too (except ffmpeg, which has some dependencies, that don't exist in bookworm - I just pinned it down, so it doesn't annoy me)
<Treibholz>
I bought it as a replacement for my broken Mac Mini M1 - the CPU has about 1/3 the speed of the M1, but at least I can replace a broken NVMe! (unlike the Mac Mini, which is now just expensive trash)
<archetech>
I bought the rock5 8gb instead of a mac mini m1

<everynamewasalreadytaken> I just updated my Odroid N2+ via apt-get update/upgrade and now it boots to login and waits for a password, did something change?
<archetech>
try another tty
<DC-IRC>
<everynamewasalreadytaken> Hmm the odroid doesnt connect to internet anymore, any ideas how to fix this? I think the last update was for the kernel so I guess something went wrong there

anyone else having boot issues with odroid n2+ after updating? device has lost internet access over ethernet
<Treibholz>
0xdamian: for chromium-browsers you need the widevine-stuff. I don't know how to get it for arm64, but there are scripts on the internet for e.g. kodi to extract them from $somewhere.
<Treibholz>
Which version of firefox are you using?
martinayotte has quit [Ping timeout: 245 seconds]
<Treibholz>
ahhh, widevine for Firefox only works on amd64. You need to take the chromium route.
<DC-IRC>
<igorpec> i think monka armbian images has this build in
<DC-IRC>
<0xdamian> Brave is chromium based
<Treibholz>
ahh, there is a libwidevinecdm package.
<Treibholz>
0xdamian: you might need to symlink/copy it to the correct directory.
<DC-IRC>
<0xdamian> What is the correct dir?
<Treibholz>
0xdamian: I don't know, where brave expects it.

<0xdamian> so if i used chrome not brave netflix would work?
<Devrim>
juri_ I tried to connect a usb ethernet device but it doesn't seem to recognize it
<Devrim>
Do I need to install drivers?
<Devrim>
I have a UGreen usb ethernet device
<juri_>
Devrim: depends, but usually no.
<juri_>
linux and 'drivers' are generally all built in.
<juri_>
how are you checking for recognition?
<Devrim>
juri_ it is not connecting to anything
<Devrim>
is it possible to find the deb packages for the kernel?
<Devrim>
The last packages that were installed were linux-image-current-meson64, linux-u-boot-odroidn2-current, base-files and linux-dtb-current-meson64
<Devrim>
lmao f me
<Devrim>
I messed around for 5 hours
<Devrim>
I just reinstalled the old packages
<Devrim>

<Devrim>

btw juri_ do you happen to know where I can report this issue? The issue basically seems to be that the kernel for 23.08 is being installed while on 23.02
<juri_>
either the forum, or the jira.
<juri_>
i'd try the forum first.
<Devrim>
I will report it on forum, I think I still have an account
