<DC-IRC> <IgorPec> without looking into the docs i would say you are triggering gpio that has some functionality in the nic. most of those lines are multiplexed anyway

<DC-IRC> <bret> Dumbo question but is it worth me reporting what's shown on automatically built images, even more so if it's the 6.3 kernel ROCK 5B image? 😄
<DC-IRC> <Werner> ?

<DC-IRC> <Celeez> hey so im trying to whipe and do a fresh install of armbian on my orange pi and i keep getting failed to flash on my microsd card no matter what i try when it worked flawlessly the first time is there some steps i need to take before just flashing over a pre-existing armbian?
<DC-IRC> <IgorPec> @bret i am currently changing those builds

<DC-IRC> <bret> As in.. is it worth me reporting the boot output from these images lol
<DC-IRC> <bret> Ah nice, I’ll keep an eye out and test any new ones I spot
<DC-IRC> <IgorPec> images are ok to test - i am adjusting build lists and CI scripts
<DC-IRC> <IgorPec> it should not affect on the images itself
<DC-IRC> <bret> Ah, well they were reporting UUID not found, dropping to shell. I haven’t bothered digging deeper, just saw it and quickly tested it whilst I had it at my desk
<DC-IRC> <IgorPec> which one?
<DC-IRC> <bret> The Bookworm CLI and Minimal CLI stable 6.3.1 ones were the 2 I tested quickly. I’ll try the lunar ones whilst I’m here
<DC-IRC> <IgorPec> which hw? 🙂
<DC-IRC> <bret> Rock 5B, v1.42
<DC-IRC> <IgorPec> ahaa, edge kernels can be broken
<DC-IRC> <IgorPec> we are looking at current / legacy
<DC-IRC> <IgorPec> at least for release stage ... 6.3.1 is just too recent
<DC-IRC> <bret> Yeah, I thought as much, that’s why I was asking if it worth even reporting anything 😄
<DC-IRC> <bret> Yeah, I thought as much, that’s why I was asking if it’s worth even reporting anything 😄
<DC-IRC> <IgorPec> i know i will not do anything about 😉 but someone might find this info useful
<DC-IRC> <IgorPec> this is for #development

<DC-IRC> <Dal> can anyone recommend a well spec'd armv7l board? (with decent armbian support)
<yang2> Dal, there are many boards which are supported, what kind of hardware preference do you have?
archetech has joined #armbian
<DC-IRC> <Dal> yeah I should specify better... I generally am after something with as higher cpu clock speed and as much ram as possible
<DC-IRC> <Dal> so that I can natively compile some needed things
<DC-IRC> <Dal> but it needs to be armv7l

<DC-IRC> <Jason123> You can run armv7 linux on an aarch64 cpu

<DC-IRC> <Dal> I was hoping to avoid too much messing about, I mean I can also cross compile (but that's a whole other story)... hence looking for just a higher end armv7l with decent support

<nekomancer[m]> cross-compilation are mess

<DC-IRC> <c0rnelius> using armv8 for cross is pretty straight forward. the odroid xu4 has 8 cores, might be worth trying? but I guess it depends what you are trying to build native. it does heat up a bit for an armv7 board.
