<PhotoJim> @IgorPec Good news! Chrooting/updating fixed that NanoPi Neo4. I should add that path to the recovery wiki page.

<PhotoJim> Github says I need to fork the repository to propose changes. is that the proper procedure, or do am I supposed to get authorized to edit directly instead? (if so, how do I earn those privileges?)

Hi there, been trying to install armbian on a pinebook pro, has anybody had anybody success?
<lanefu>
it worked well on the first and second prouduction runs, but typical to pine64 they made some changes and the 3rd production run has some differences which need to be dealt with, but nobody has contributed those fixes as far a I know

<stipa>
is it possible to add a command to the boot.cmd without recompiling everything?
<stipa>
like, edit it somewhere
<stipa>
i have a wifi dongle that stops the uboot
<stipa>
stop usb & start usb gets it going manually
<stipa>
i would like to make it automatic by editing something somewhere...
<stipa>
i want to add stop usb & start usb at the uboot commands
califax has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
<stipa>
fir now i guess the uboot can't be edited

configurable and extendable.
<stipa>
yea right
<stipa>
it should be done in 10 minutes...
<yang2>
stipa: did you ask also in #u-boot channel?
<yang2>
if it's not an armbian specific question
<stipa>
yang2: i gaven't
<stipa>
i hate compiling the image
<stipa>
fucking VMs and all that shit
<stipa>
those wifi dongles with drivers in them on a flash chip are blocking the uboot on my board
<yang2>
hm
<yang2>
I do have a wifi dongle
<yang2>
it auto-initializes when it's getting plugged in
<yang2>
but maybe I have written some rules for that
<yang2>
I don't recall
<stipa>
i have usb modeswitch in linux but uboots gets blocked this time
<yang2>
Are you using the dongle on a SBC ?
<stipa>
before the linux even boots up
<stipa>
yang2: on an SBC, yes, i think it hasn't been a problem a while ago
<stipa>
i'll have to figure out how to add those few commands in the uboot porcess
<stipa>
it's a nasty hack i guess but that's what i could try from the back of my head
<stipa>
scanning bus usb@5311000 for devices... Device NOT ready
<stipa>
Request Sense returned 02 3A 00
<nekomancer[m]>
rpardini: is it possible for armbian-next to see a compilation process online, as on classic armbian?
<stipa>
i'm trying to get a big picture about boot proces rn
<stipa>
oh yeah, indina/english galore tutorials
<stipa>
no translation
<stipa>
indina mind processes explained through a fancy english accent
<cheakoirccloud>
Anyone see explaining computer's VisionFive 2 video? Is his optimism on future software warranted? ppl may remember I've unsuccessfully deployed an esspressobin as an edge router and am wondering if this board fits into that space?
