<andlabs> packard bell update
<andlabs> it boots
<andlabs> it refuses to even recognize that I hae a floppy disk inserted, no matter how I set the BIOS settings
<andlabs> but it boots
<andlabs> also I don't know what these drives are and the IBOS doesn't know either which helps, but even guessing produces no acknowledgement of a disk, just the standard bootup seek test
<andlabs> and yes the disk I am using is bootable I tested it on another computer
<andlabs> (and yes it's a 720k disk)
<andlabs> it also won't boot off the hard drive despite that being connected to an ISA card which I assume would have it sown disk BIOS and thus not having a hard drive configured in the system BIOS wouldn't be a problem????
