leon-p: also use one client per-tag usually. The only case I usually need to split the screen is when I'm copying some esoteric cmd from some webpage to a terminal, which happens not-often at all.

One client per-tag fullscreen is _the way to go_ IMO. OFK with some overlay clients like launchers and bars(this last one I don't use, but for some people seems to be usefule)

mh, sometimes I use the monocle layote. e.g. opening a DAW and one-off helvum (pipewire patchbay) to solve some audio routing
