AlpineDude: Yeah, in the nightly release.

AlpineDude: If you don't want to install the nightly, the old trick I used to use is to turn on the crosshair in the menu options, turn on Orthogonal mode, click the button to orient to the X, Y, or Z axis, and then zoom in to the target location until the corresponding crosshair coordinate value at the bottom of the window reaches sufficient precision.
<AlpineDude>
Ah thank you very much! I will install the nightly build.
<AlpineDude>
I will keep the trick in mind, or at least try it. those are all options I had no idea exist

It's good to know both. The crosshair trick is annoyingly slow, but it's actually quite flexible as a generalized concept.
<InPhase>
slow and/or tedious.
<dTal>
I just use newtons method to converge a measuring part
<dTal>
i.e. place a circle at point 1, zoom in on point 2, adjust circle radius until circle intersects perfectly

dTal: Hmm. I suppose that works, if the preview is fast, and you know one coordinate.

<J24k2>
inPhase the problem with the crosshair is that if you zoom outside the center to see if it fit -- the numbers are gone
<J24k2>
would be great if the view translation is taken into account for the precision view
<guso78>
I have Seen the issue too. Offen Happens after coming Back from screensafer of Double clicking Ingo the View multiple Times to Center the View.

"Offen" ? - Ü your capitalization looks so German (but seems to be random) guess your brain is still a bit asleep
<J24k2>
