Wizzup did you ever figure out how much impact, if any, that `dbus-scripts` have on the battery?
<sicelo>

I'm thinking i could have a script that watches for modemRemoved signal. it would dump dmesg somewhere the give me a notification, e.g. beep

sicelo: it should reappear if anything
<sicelo>
it doesn't :-)
<Wizzup>
I think that's probably the thing to debug
<sicelo>
yes, so that's why i want to take a dmesg when it happens
<sicelo>
right now i never know it's gone ... because status menu continues to show it with signal bars
<Wizzup>
does ofono know that it is gone?
<sicelo>
i should think so
<Wizzup>
if it does, then the status menu should reflect that
<Wizzup>
can you check? :D
<sicelo>
when i notice it, it's because i need modem right away
<sicelo>
this morning, when i noticed it, my battery died while i was opening terminal
<Wizzup>
mhm
<sicelo>
I'll see what dbus-scripts gives me

Wizzup: Ok
<neimsaci>
Wizzup: If I install maemo-leste on n9 I will get hildon desktop or that one similar to meego?
<Wizzup>
currently you will probably get nothing yet
<Wizzup>
but if it were to work (it doesn't), you'd get hildon-desktop
<Wizzup>
I have to go for a bit
<neimsaci>
Ok

Hi there!
<neimsaci>
freemangordon: Thanks for quick answer, ok, it is cortex a8
<freemangordon>
neimsaci: I have n950 here, but simply can't get to do port for it
<Peter36>
I have a weird question. I installed Maemo Leste on my N900, and have disabled the Hildon Desktop Manager in favour of using one with tiling windows (like i3 or awesome), but when I'm using either of those, I'm noticing a black box around my cursor: Is there a way to get rid of that, either by getting rid of the box, or just hiding the cursor?
<Peter36>
Thanks if anyone can help :)
<neimsaci>
freemangordon: Why?
<freemangordon>
lack of spare time, ATM I am porting mafw, for example
<freemangordon>
there is always something with higher prio to work on
<freemangordon>
Peter36: maybe try to change/add some of the DDX driver options
<neimsaci>
Did you all know that in most EU countries 3g will be shut-off?
<neimsaci>
In the end of 2024.
<Peter36>
Thanks freemangordon, if it's not too much trouble, could you quickly tell me how I could go about doing that?
<Peter36>
Like adding the option of "HWCursor" to be False into my x11 config
<sicelo>
neimsaci: i got N9 and was going to do some Leste work on it. then arno11 arrived and made N900 a bit more interesting. I'll get back to N9 as soon as we're done with getting N900 voicecalls working ootb
<neimsaci>
sicelo: Ok, I remember when I had n900, I played around and installed on it pwnphone os, someone recalls this os?
<sixwheeledbeast>
2030 was the date I recall bouncing around. It's coming tho
