<midfavila-tab> aaa
<midfavila-tab> how do i deal with other people's expectations ;w;
<Ellowee[m]> You put your cool glasses and disappoint those expectations in the most bombastic form possible
<midfavila-tab> not the worst idea
<Ellowee[m]> Can't have people hold expectations on you if they know the way it'll go
<midfavila-tab> indeed, a valid point
<Ellowee[m]> Also frees up time from friction trying to meet them

<sewn> Hi
<saturn[m]> o/
<Ellowee[m]> /)
<testuser[m]> Hi
<testuser[m]> Elevator calling apps, like Otis’ eCall and Schindler’s ElevateMe, can let you select your floor from your phone, and facial recognition could help your office elevator “recognize” you and take you to your typical destination.
<niceguy5000[m]> Guys I quit I can't take the bloat anymore, I'm going to leave in the forest as an hermit!
<niceguy5000[m]> s/leave/live/
<sewn> phoebos: https://aabacchus.github.io/kiss-find/ doesn't seem to work
<sewn> oops
<sewn> ah, i thought it provides some interface similar to the previous kiss-find
<sewn> could it be possible we can have a https://codeberg.org/kiss-community/kiss-find and the gh to be a mirror?
<sewn> honestly i dont see why kiss-find isnt a package in kiss-repo
<sewn> its so useful

<phoebos> i have no interest in a javascript interface to the database when the cli exists
<phoebos> i can add a kiss-find package to community
<phoebos> but i see no point in moving the repo that generates the database to codeberg
<phoebos> it's a rather storage-intensive workflow anyway, I'd rather not fill up codeberg's CI
<sewn> tru
<sewn> fair enuf
<phoebos> testuser[m]: is it possible to change the behaviour of merging PRs on codeberg
<phoebos> the commit messages are filled with the HTML template
<phoebos> perhaps by fast fowarding where possible

<sewn> is there a good text editor that doesn't have garbage syntax highlighting
<midfavila> emacs
<midfavila> :D
<midfavila> alternatively use ed
<sewn> is there a small good vi-based text editor that doesn't have garbage syntax highlighting*
<midfavila> >good
<midfavila> >vi-based
<sewn> is there a text editor*
<midfavila> ed
<midfavila> it's *the* text editor
<midfavila> :^)
<sewn> is there a text manipulator*
<midfavila> teco
<midfavila> in all seriousness kilo might be of interest, but idk how vi-like its control scheme is
<midfavila> i'm sure there's a vi spin of kilo
<sewn> i just want good syntax highlighting
<sewn> thats all i ask for
<midfavila> eh
<sewn> yeah i understand some guys dont like syntax highlighting
<sewn> but atleast i aint depressed and dull
<midfavila> that's a take
<sewn> and i'm right
<midfavila> >people who disagree with your cosmetic preferences are stupid
<midfavila> yeah okay
<sewn> who said they are stupid
<midfavila> >i understand some guys don't like syntax highlighting, but at least i aint depressed and dull
<sewn> you can replace stupid with depressed
<sewn> also 'cosmetic preferences' is quite vague
<midfavila> my god you're either dense or belligerent. open a thesaurus and a grammar book.
<midfavila> good luck on your editor search
<sewn> man all i wanted was an editor with good syntax highlighting
<sewn> cant have shit in detroit
<phoebos> you may like neatvi
<sewn> yep tried it
<sewn> I didn't know how to get syntax highlighting working
<sewn> I probably didn't read the readme or man pages properly
<phoebos> it's literally just regexes
<sewn> yees
<noocsharp> what do you consider "garbage syntax highlighting"?
<sewn> that was sort of an exaggeration, to me it's like either none at all or very colorless
midfavila-tab has quit [Ping timeout: 260 seconds]
<noocsharp> i use vis, but you may or may not consider its syntax highlighting to be garbage
<sewn> I use it too
<sewn> but the syntax highlighting is
<sewn> not too good but very on par on what vis is as an editor, its pretty simple and effective, but isn't garbage by any means
<testuser[m]> noocsharp: check ping above

<niceguy5000[m]> nextvi is the way.
<niceguy5000[m]> * neatvi is the way.
