RUST is more like the IOS version of the software; while C and C++ act more like Android and are open to being hacked and lack privacy factors, RUST offers the programmers safety of memory and thread.
<testuser[m]>
You know, at least in C++ you get some really poorly performing standard containers. Every time I reach for C, it drives me nuts that the best you get is GLib, And BOTH pale in comparison to newer language standard libraries like Go's.
<sad_plan>
what am I missing here. I used a patch whih kyx0r had laying around for amdgpufb. but when I recently adjusted it, the kernel seems to error out when its linking
<sad_plan>
ld: vmlinux.o: in function `amdgpufb_create':
<sad_plan>
amdgpu_fb.c:(.text+0x4b6156): undefined reference to `amdgpu_display_gem_fb_init'
<testuser[m]>
amdgpu_display isnt even added to sources
<testuser[m]>
nvm it is
<testuser[m]>
check for all conditionals in amdgpu_display.c
<testuser[m]>

i love codeberg simply because wael444 -> wael

unless you want to look like rms, you can do dilync or dylanc

How did you decide on codeberg?
<dilyn>
it has automations, has a familiar UI, and isn't github. I guess.
<dilyn>
I didn't like it but I wasn't involved :v

<ioraff>
dilyn: what would you have done, if anything?
<dilyn>
self-hosted
<Guest34>
I think Gitlab is worse than Github, so I just know Default's and sourceforge as alternatives other than Codeberg. I don't know how they'd compare.
<ioraff>
ah. with what frontend?
<ioraff>
I suppose free-ness is also a reason for codeberg, then
